Chambord Castle.

Mournful screams and loud battle cries haunted everyone's ears.

Both the attackers and the defenders gave the battle their everything. It was kill or be killed.

Waves of enemies clad in black, light armour assaulted the castle like a black tsunami. The three gigantic siege ladders were akin to war monsters; the barbs on the ladders hooked on to the edges of the ramparts, and constantly sent more invaders towards the soldiers on the walls. The hooks prevented the siege ladders from easily being removed, and squads of around 30 enemies fought aggressively to protect them.

As time passed by, more and more foes climbed onto the walls of the castle.

It was an alarming situation for Chambord; there were ten times more enemies than Chambord soldiers.

"Pierce? Pierce... Where are you? You prick!" A colossal six feet eight (2m07) man with coal-black hair and wearing a vest of chain-mail, yelled as he finished an enemy. "Pierce! Gather some big guys and get rid of those ladders. Quick!"

"Yes sir!"

Blood soaked Pierce's silvery white hair. It was hard to tell how much was his and how much belonged to the enemies he had slain. As soon as he heard the command, he waved several soldiers over. "Come on guys, let's go! We have to kill those suckers and smash those ladders!"

Pierce was famous in Chambord for his brutal strength.

Veins on his arms bulged, as he swung his enormous iron hammer about the size of two basketballs. Like the legendary berserker, he swiftly massacred foes in his way as if they were flies. No one could stop him.

He soon approached the siege ladders, leaving behind him a trail of death and blood. Twenty other soldiers followed him, determined to complete the mission.

The enemies defending the ladders bounded, alert.

"Attention! Forward! Semi-Arc Formation!"

The leader of the opponents defense team yelled!

"Kata, kata, kata, kata!"

The thirty attackers formed a half circle around the three siege ladders to protect them. With sharp, bloody blades pointing outward, they resembled a metal Hedgehog, waiting for the enemy to make a mistake before annihilating them.

They had definitely received more training than the soldiers of Chambord.

Ten meters...

Six meters...

Three meters...

One meter...

The distance between the soldiers led by Pierce and the attackers vanished in seconds.

Finally --

"Hooo! Go to hell!"

Pierce suddenly hooted. He gave the hammer a full swing, as if it was a javelin, and the hammer escaped his hands and glided towards the enemy's formation.

That monstrous hammer promised, with its beautiful trajectory, a vision of death, and eventually broke through the formation with devastating force.

"Bash!"

The attack caused massive damage to the opponent. Crimson blood, broken blades and severed limbs spread all over the place.

The enemies definitely weren't expecting that type of manoeuvre. The hammer had created a bloody gap in the centre of the formation.

By destroying the ladders, it would be impossible to invade Chambord Castle for now. After slaughtering all the enemies on the defense wall, the soldiers could finally sleep safely. If they didn't destroy the opponent, the castle would be invaded and their friends and families would become war slaves, with no hope of freedom for generations, or worse - killed.
