CHAPTER 17

seventeen • crisis

I went to our company to have dance practice and also to record my new album which wasn't done yet. I just released a single but the album was still in progress.

GOT7 will be back at about 3pm, and my dance practice will end at that time too, perhaps I'll meet JB here?

"Hey, Raelyn."

Someone suddenly entered the room and talked to me. I looked up and saw Hye Yeon.

"Hi, Hye Yeon!" I stopped the music and greeted her with a wide smile.

"Raelyn...actually I have something to ask you..." She sat down and held my hands, "Can you do me a favour?"

"Yeah...sure!" I was unsure, but since she seemed to turn friendly towards me, perhaps we could be friends.

"Actually...I...have a crush on Jaebum...I know that you're close with GOT7, can you help me out?"

What?! Of course I can't!

"I don't know..." I was nervous so I looked away and didn't answer her.

"Raelyn......"

"He likes someone else," I answered honestly, but I didn't tell her that it was me.

"So you're not helping me?" She suddenly let go of my hand and stood up.

"But...he likes someone else and..."

"It's you right? You like him right? I saw both of you hugged."

Her words hit me like a truck, made me dumbfounded and couldn't say a word.
Of course she'll see us, Starlight lives at 3rd floor which is above us. Of course she'll pass by 2nd floor. How could us be so unaware?

"You have to quit. Or else I'm gonna tell Mr Park and you're going down." She crossed her arms.

"But," I decided to defend myself, "If you and him really...work out, aren't you going down too?"

She sneered and walked close to me, "Didn't you know JB and I went to a show before, and a lot of fans ship us? It's only the fans that matter, the fans called us 'Jaeyeon', do any fans ship you and JB? Wait, do anyone even know who you are?"

Right, no one knows me.

Everything will be over if she told Park Jinyoung. What should I do now?

"You're so dead."

She walked away when I was in daze. I quickly phoned JB, hoping that he would pick up.

"Hello?"

"Hye Yeon..."

"Raelyn? What's wrong?"

"Hye Yeon knows our thing...and she's gonna tell JYP..."

"I'll be right back." He hung up the phone.

He met up with me 10 minutes later, so did the boys.

"Anything happened yet?" Jinyoung asked.

Right then, a staff appeared and called JB to see JYP in his office.

"I'll be right back."

JB entered the office steadily. Hye Yeon was sitting opposite him, she smiled at him when he entered, but he ignored her.

"Have a seat." Park Jin Young was smiling and didn't seem to be upset about what happened.

"Well, Hye Yeon told me that fans love to see you both together...so she suggested to have a collaboration with you."
