CHAPTER 15

fifteen • invitation

I debuted two weeks ago and my schedule was busy as I had to perform in music shows to promote my new song. Even entertaining shows invited me and my company wanted me to attend so that more people will know me.

JB was kinda down as he didn't get to spend time with me.

"Heyyyy, I got to go now, it's my turn." I talked to JB on the phone before I went on stage on Inkigayo.

"That fast? We only talked for a minute!" He grumbled.

"I'm sorry JB...Let's have dinner later okay? Together?" I suggested, his voice became energetic suddenly and agreed.

While I was practising at the backstage before performing, someone approached and spoke to me.

"You're Raelyn right?" She's a girl with dark red hair and bangs, she looked so sweet when she smiled. Immediately I said yes and greeted her.

"I'm sorry, and you are?"

"I debuted about a month ago, I'm KARA's new member, my name is Youngji." Oh! She's the one who's on Roommate with Jackson. No wonder she looked so familiar.

"Nice to meet you! I'm sorry I didn't recognise you immediately...I'm still new here..." I lowered my head and smiled as to apologise for my ignorance.

"It's okay! I couldn't recognise most people too...I knew you through Jackson, he told me about you before."

"What did he tell you? Is it something bad?" Jackson must've told her about my naughty, talkative and mischievous side.

"Uhm...He said that you're their junior but we're all the same age, and also..." She paused, "He said that GOT7 like you a lot, especially one......but he didn't tell me who he is!"

Damn it, Jackson! You big mouth!

"No! He just made this up! It's not true..." Well, although it's true, but...Jackson you idiot! You're so dead.

"Really?" Youngji smirked. She acted so much alike to Jackson, I bet they always spent time together that their behaviour became similar.

"Alright, I won't take it seriously!" She replied as I nodded, "He's a pabo anyway! Hahahaha! By the way, please visit roommate soon! I'd love to make friend with you!"

"Can I? I'd love to!" We hopped out of excitement. She told me she didn't have many friends in this industry, her eonnies in KARA are older than her and they didn't have much to talk to, she's glad to meet me who is the same age as her.

I'm no different. However I have a group of idiots as my friends - GOT7! Hahahaha! Youngji could be my best girl friend, I'm sure we'll get along well.

"Hello!"

I happily sat beside JB who was waiting for me at the park to take me to dinner.

"Wow."

"What?"

"You're early," He was impressed, "I thought girls are always late and love to make guys wait for hours."

"Nah, I'm starving, foods before whatever pride or dignity." I stood up and pulled JB up. I didn't eat lunch as I was rushing here and there, my stomach had nothing but hydrochloric acid.

"Hey, wait," JB took a mask out of his pocket, it was red colour with white polka dots, "Put on this, so that no one recognises us."

Oh right. I almost forgot that I'm a singer now, dating rumours are not allowed. Additionally, JB is also a celebrity.

"Are you sure that people won't recognise us? These masks can only cover our mouths." I felt exciting though, it was like a spy movie that you had to camouflage yourself.

"Both of us are wearing glasses, I don't think they're that lynx-eyed." JB then held my hand and we walked into a restaurant.

A waiter brought us to a table which was near the window but we refused, at last we settled on the table at the corner.

"Perfect spot ya?" JB smiled.

"Hmmm not bad," I told JB about the trivial matters that happened today, "Wow I met so many famous girl and boy groups today, they're all so confident..."

"Right! I have a new friend too!" I shared with him excitedly, "She's Youngji from KARA, I think she's Jackson's friend too, they're both on Roommate."

"Yeah, Jackson mentioned her a lot, mostly about how annoying and naive she is, but I think he likes her..." JB grinned as if he explored some secrets.

"Really? They look cute together! Oh! She also invited me to Roommate."

"Seriously?" JB couldn't believe it, even Jackson didn't invite them to Roommate.

"Yep! You can come with me!" I gripped his hands tightly as I was too excited.

Without waiting for JB's reply, I took out my phone and called Jackson.

"Jackson!"

"Oh Raelyn! What's up?"

"JB and I wanna go to Roommate." I cut to the chase and Jackson was stunned, I can see it since he took about 10 seconds to start talking.

"W...why so sudden?"

"Your friend Youngji invited me, why? You don't want us to visit you there?"

"How do you know Youngji?!" He seemed nervous when I mentioned Youngji, I guess JB's assumption was right.

I didn't turn on loud speaker so JB leaned on the other side of the phone to listen to our conversation. He laughed when he heard Jackson's respond.

"She talked to me today, at Inkigayo...So can we visit you or not?"

"S...Sure! Why not? I'll tell the PD...When are you guys coming?"

"Hmm...tomorrow?" I asked JB, and he nodded, "Yep, tomorrow." I answered Jackson.

I didn't really think twice before making the decision, neither did JB, both of us thought that it was fun, so I hoped they wouldn't feel awkward with us around.

"Do you think they'll know me?" Hopefully the fans and viewers wouldn't hate me on being on the show despite I was just a rookie.

"I'm sure Jackson will tell them, don't worry!" JB reassured, "We mustn't act too close, we have to keep our distance, okay?"

"Yeah, sure, I know..." This is the hardest part for two artists to date. What if the fans hate one of us? What if no one supports us anymore? What if, what if. There're so much to worry.

I received a call from Jackson after having dinner.

"Hey, both of you can come over at 7pm tomorrow night, is that ok?"

"Hmm...I'm free tomorrow, we're good."

"See you guys tomorrow!"

I went to GOT7's dorm to keep in touch with the boys before going home. JB told them about our planning tomorrow.

"Hyung! Why didn't you bring us?" Yugyeom grumbled, and the others chimed in with him too.

"Ah...Actually it's Raelyn's friend who invited her, I follow her to protect her!" JB made a ridiculous excuse.

"Awww...Noona's friend is better than Jackson hyung! He'd forgotten us!" Bambam pretended to be hurt.

"I'm sure Jackson will invite us one day, there're seven of us! It'll be hard for all of us to go," JB defended Jackson, "So...as the leader, I'll go first! kekekeke..."

Jinyoung then poked JB's head and the other members also surrounded him to punish him.

"Yah! Rae, save me!" I could barely hear him as I was laughing so loud.

Soon, they let go of him and JB was glaring at me for laughing when he was "bullied" by the dongsaeng.

I pouted and pretended that I was innocent, he then bursted into laughters.

"See you tomorrow." After a while, he sent me home and gave me a hug before I left. I lived next door but he made it like I was living in other country.

I returned home and phoned my manager to inform her about my schedule to Roommate tomorrow.

Will they like me? What if I said something wrong?

I thought a lot before falling asleep-The thing between me and JB started for approximately 2 weeks, but how far will it go? We couldn't hide it forever. Is there an end? Or it'll last?
