When Love Blossoms (GOT7 FANFIC)

CHAPTER 14

fourteen • debut

I was pacing back and forth at the backstage. Park Jin Young aka JYP was here a while ago to comfort me and cheer me up. Why? Because it was the first time I performed on stage, and a new song of mine will be released right after this.

The song is called "Hot Air Balloon" which is a love song about a relationship of a couple who are together for so long, and they think that they're meant to be. Both of them had the same dream which was to get on a hot air balloon and it's mainly about how excited they were to finally get on with their love one.

The lyrics were so romantic and they're written by JYP of course. He's so talented!

"Rae!"

"Noona!"

Oh my god! GOT7 boys were here to support me. Their sudden appearance surprised me and I almost cried.

"Relax okay? Just do your best!" JB held my face and comforted me. I nodded and he smiled. I felt much better after seeing all of them, it just felt so good to have someone to have your back.

It's my turn now.

"Hwaiting!" They cheered. I walked to the stage and was taken aback by the crowds.

Don't look at them...just focus and perform well.

I started singing and immersed myself in the scene of the song. JB was all I thought on stage.

Right after I finished singing, the audiences screamed and clapped which surprised me so much. I was expecting awkward responds since I was a rookie and no one knew me.

The MC did some introduction on me, "Isn't her singing amazing? It was JYP's new singer who's from Malaysia! The song is called "Hot Air Balloon" and it was the first time she performed on stage! Please give her fully support and love her alright?"

The fans cheered and screamed. I was so appreciative and relieved when I got back to the backstage.

"Noona, the performance was amazing!" Yugyeom was the first to comment, he stood right at the back of the stage, I bet he stood there to listen to my singing.

I walked to the rest room with Yugyeom to meet up with the boys.

"Hey!" I waved at the boys who were chatting on the couch, "How was it?!"

"That was so gooood! Rae, you nailed it!" JB first approached and gave me a hug, I laid my head on his shoulder, yet we quickly separated to avoid rumours.

"You really can sing!" Jinyoung praised me which made me flattered. "Of course I can!" I replied with a laugh.

Then I realised Jackson wasn't with the boys. I looked around but I didn't see him, he was here before I went up to the stage. Hmm...perhaps he went to the washroom.

"I'm so nervous! I'm so scared that the fans might hate me or I'll forget the lyrics! Ugh thank god!" I wiped my sweat with a towel, I didn't dance a lot but I couldn't stop sweating, probably it's because of anxiety.

"Hey! There's another girl from JYP who just debuted last month, she's here too! Do you know her?" Youngjae asked me.

"Yeah...She's Hye Yeon right? I'm not that close to her." I admitted both of us weren't close although we met a few times before, she was also chosen from the audition but she joined as a trainee a little earlier than me. Last I checked, she debuted as a girl group called "Starlight" with 2 other eonnie who joined JYP a year earlier than us.

She wasn't friendly towards me, every time I wanted to greet her, she just ignored me.

"We should congratulate them too!" JB suggested. "Starlight" just got down from the stage while we were chatting. I quickly stood up and bowed at them, so did the boys.

"Annyeonghaseyo!"

"Oh! It's GOT7! Annyeonghaseyo!" Hye Yeon looked excited to talk to the boys, "We didn't really introduce ourselves to each other right? My name is Hye Yeon, and I'm 21 years old!"

"So you're same age as Jaebum, Jinyoung and Jackson!" Mark said, "Wait, and also Raelyn! Have you guys met yet?"

"Uhm yeah! We met each other a couple of times before." I smiled and nodded at Hye Yeon.

"Oh, of course we know each other! We joined JYP as trainees together, she's so nice!" She hugged me and held my hands as if we were best friends.

She used to overlook me, and I didn't think we really know each other. Anyway, we could be friends, I thought.

The other two members of Starlight introduced themselves too. Hazel, who is the leader is 2 years older than me. She has long and curly red hair and looked really nice. Next, it's Jin-a, whose stage name is Geena, she's the rapper of the group and has brown short hair. She's same age as me.

"Congratulation on your awesome performance!" JB congratulated the girls, "Yeah, and also our Raelyn!" He touched my head tenderly and I smiled at him.

I didn't know whether it's my illusion or something else, I accidentally caught Hye Yeon glaring at me when I stood beside JB. I hope it was just a misunderstanding.

After Starlight left, Jackson was back from somewhere.

"Hey! Where did you go?" I asked him.

"Just to greet a friend! Hey, awesome performance!" He gave me a high-five, he seemed to be in a good mood.

"Thanks dude! Who's that friend?" I sucked the honey lemon tea that JB made for me from a straw. I've heard so much about JB's honey lemon tea and the rumours were true - there's so much honey.

"Just a friend, alright?" He refused to tell us and I didn't continue to ask as I wasn't that curious. He had that wide smile on his face which made me suspicious.

"Bunny," JB got used to this nickname and answered to it immediately when I called him, "This is really too sweet." I frowned as I swallowed the "honey water".

"It is? Oops, I think I shall cut down the amount of honey I add...Sorry Rae." JB pouted like a kid who did something wrong and wanted to use his cuteness to ask for forgiveness.

I laughed when I saw his face, "Heish, don't do that face!" I was completely melted by him, he was irresistible.

[Jackson Bonus]

"May I know when is KARA performing? After this or...?" Jackson asked a staff. He heard that KARA will be performing "Mama Mia" today on M Countdown, perhaps he should visit Youngji to support her.

"They're after Starlight." The staff told him.

He decided to go to KARA's rest room to talk to Youngji. He knocked on the door, but the one who answered the door wasn't anyone from KARA, but their manager.

"How can I help you?" She opened the door a little and Jackson could only see half of her face.

"Oh! Jackson!" Youngji came out as she heard a familiar voice, "What are you doing here?"

"Nah...Raelyn is making her first appearance here, so I just drop by to see if you look like a mess." He looked away, trying to act cool.

Youngji rolled her eyes, "So do I look like a mess to you?" She put her hands on her waist to show Jackson her outfit.

"Kinda...it's only a "okay"." Damn, she's pretty, "You don't suit this dress though," She looks like an angel.

"Ugh! Whatever! You just can't seem to say something nice." When Youngji was going in the room again, Jackson grabbed her arm, "What?"

"Ah...Don't be nervous alright? Just do your best. I don't want to see you pee your pants." Jackson wanted to say something nice to her but he turned out acting like a jerk. He's nice to everyone except Youngji.

"Thanks." Youngji entered the room and closed the door. Jackson stood outside and frowned.

I should've just praise her. She's so beautiful.
