As the Warden's cousin and her second in command, you have to make the rounds to the buildings.

Today, however, the warden is off on a trip and you're left to run the entire place with only Mitsuru as your help.

"You do know that the supervisors are coming in today to report right?" Mitsuru says, showing up out of absolutely no where.

You choke on your water, "what?!"

"Yep, the first one starts in," he looks up at the clock, "30 seconds." This time, you choke on air.

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god."

"I'll go get the first supervisor!"

Lunch Break, finally lunch break. You swing open the door and step out of the warden's oversized office.

You sprint down the hall and just barely slip into the elevator... where Samon and Hajime are standing on opposite sides.

You step in the middle of them and tuck a piece of hair awkwardly behind your ear. You look at the buttons only to realize they're going to the first floor too, forty five floors down.

"When's the Warden coming back?" I look over at Samon who so kindly cut the very thick atmosphere.

"Shut up Monkey, everything was fine until you spoke," Hajime lights a cigarette.

"No you shut up I was trying to make small talk! And stop smoking in the elevator you're going to set off the fire alarm!" Samon shouts back.

"I oughta-" you clear your throat and suddenly all eyes are on you.

"It'd probably be better for your reputations if you didn't have it out in the elevator," you say quickly.

"Gorilla," Samon says under his breath.

"Monkey," Hajime hisses back.

"I said shut up!" You say loudly. You feel Samon's tail graze your ankle.

"Someone's getting flustered," he says.

"We're still only on level 20, you wouldn't want to get too hot," Hajime continues. You feel your face growing hot at the two boys.

Quickly, you punch the 19 button in the keypad and the elevator lurches to a stop and opens it's doors.

"This is my floor, nice talking to you guys!" You speed walk out and press your back against the wall when the elevator continues on its way.
