Chapter - 43

Camila PoV
I brought Lauren into my house and set her down on the couch. I still had no idea why she was crying. I got her some water and sat down next to her, she reached for it and took a sip.
"Whenever you are ready to tell me, you can" I leaned over and kissed her cheek, she set down the water and I held her hand.
"It's nothing, I'm just emotional, it's that time of the month" She smiled lightly.
"I can tell when you are lying" I said.
"I caught my mom... With somebody other than my dad..if you know what I mean. She has been having an affair" she got teary again.
"Lauren.."
"You can't tell anybody, ok?" She pleaded.
"We can't just keep this a secret" I responded.
"I'm not going to split up my family Camila!"
"This isn't fair to your dad"
"So you expect me to tell them!" Lauren said.
"Yes"
"Come with me?" She asked.
"Wow, that was easy to convince you"
"You are the bes thing in my life right now...I trust you" Lauren pecked my lips before standing up, I stood up too.
"My mom better be ready, hurricane Lauren is coming through" She grabbed my hand and pulled me with such force that I tripped over my shoe.
We both laughed at my clumsiness. I guess this was the calm before the storm.
Lauren PoV
I walked up to my door, Camila by my side. I was so mad at my mom.
"Honey, I know what you've seen has confused you-"
"Save it" I rolled my eyes, storming into th house to find my dad nd tell him about her. Camila was along my side, awkwardly glancing around.
"Your father knows" My moms voice rang out, I turned around. "Mr. Vives is moving in next week. We didn't know when to tell you".
"So you've waited a week before to tell me that the only parent of mine I like is moving out? That you have had a romance with another man?" I spat out. The harsh words floated through the air.
"Honey. We have decided to get a divorce a while ago, we just didn't want to upset you since you just got back from the island"
"I hate you" The words trembled out of my mouth, the tears in my face threatening to created a tsunami of emotions.
"You'll love Mr. Vives" she stated.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"He has a daughter around your age, her name is Lucy. They will live here soon and I expect you to be welcoming" She smiled. I heard Camila gasp but I ignored it.
"I'm ashamed to be your daughter. Keeping secrets from me? Lying? I don't want you to be my mom. But I guess I never have" o said, the words created a gloss over my moms eyes as I walked away with Camila. I led her to my room.
"She unbelievable" I paced back and forth, Camila stood by my bed.
"She shouldn't have lied, but at least we know she wasn't cheating on your dad, he knew about it" Camila smiled.
"You are perfect, and I won't ever let us end up like my parents" I grabbed her face lightly and pulled her into a kiss.
"Hey guys" Asher walked into my room and flopped onto the bed, "you two alright?".
"You just ruined a cute couple moment" Camila threw a pillow at him.
"Boo hoo" He taunted.
"You are an idiot" I added in.
"So. I just can to lighten up the mood, I heard what was going on. I hope Lucy is hot" He smirked.
"You aren't her type" Camila giggled.
"I'm everybody's type"
"She doesn't roll that way" She said.
"Huh?"
"She is gay!" Camila said.
"I can convert her" He put his hands behind his head.
"You know her?" I asked.
"Yeah. She gave me a ride home earlier"
"Bitch" I muttered.
"Don't be mean to her, she is a sweet girl"
"Alright" I responded.
"I don't get how a girl can be bisexual. You either want the D or you want the P" Asher blurted out. Even though Asher could be like this, he did brighten my mood.
"We like both" Camila said.
"How?"
"Just because we do, though I prefer girls" I shrugged.
"If you really do like both...maybe you should prove it" Asher smirked at us.
