Chapter 1:
I turned to my best friend and she looked at me. My geography teacher had just told my other friend he had O.C.D. That was really rude, even for her. I didn’t like her; she didn’t like me. It was a love-hate relationship. As in we both completely loved hating each other.
“Excuse me Miss. That’s so rude and so not funny.” I started “I don’t think Shane really like’s being told he has O.C.D seeing as he doesn’t. It’s really a very serious condition.” I was using my clever person voice. Something that I rarely ever used. “I know that picking on students makes you feel amazing but it’s really inappropriate.” Then everyone started tapping their pens. It really upset my geography teacher but I didn’t know why. She got tears in her eyes and then she ran out crying while we all cheered. I went straight over to my boyfriend and he kissed me on the cheek. He was one of the worst behaved kids in the school. Just like me.
We did everything together. We planned today. Shane would start fiddling with al his stuff and then he would say something about how he likes everything organized completely or else it disorientates him. Yeah, I know, the genius of me. It had an O, a C and a D in it. My geography teacher would say he had O.C.D and then we would all start on her. She totally deserved it though. She couldn’t teach but then again, I did attend the worst school in the country. I didn’t really learn anything. Most people thought I was as thick as s**t but I wasn’t; I could be bad and listen at the same time. They tried to keep us under control by putting us on report. This basically meant each lesson we had to get a mark. You started not on any report but once you got thirty behaviour points, you went on to green report. At thirty five, it was orange. Once you reached forty, you went onto red. If you hit fifty, your parents have to come in and have a meeting with the head master and you had to see him at break, lunch and after school. Only five people had got onto H-M (head masters), and only two of them were at the school now; me and my boyfriend, Billy. We were the Bad kids of the school; known by some as trouble maker (e.g. teachers), known by others as Legends (e.g. everyone else). We were the leaders of the popular group and the rest of the school let them walk all over us. That was how I liked it.
I laughed as my teacher walked back into the room, followed my the head of department. She was not in a good mode.
“Which one of you is to blame for causing Miss Parent such distress?”
She looked at me and I looked at her with what I hoped was a mischievous smile. She knew it was me as much as I did. I raised my hand and so did Billy. Mrs chalk, the head of geography, pointed at herself, then me, followed by Billy and finely at the door. She left. Billy and me jumped up and grabbed each others hand. We walked out of the room still smiling. This wasn’t going to do anything except get us out of geography; she must have known that better than I did. As soon as Billy shut the door behind him she started shouting at us, “WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU TWO? CAN YOU DO NOTHING EXCEPT CAUSE TROUBLE?” she stopped as if it wasn’t a rhetorical question “WELL?” Ok, so it obviously a rhetorical question. I answered for the pair of us, “Well, we can do other things but causing trouble is what we mainly do. Hadn’t you realised?” I paused “Well?” She was going to get annoyed with me but I could not have cared less. She held out her hand and I looked at Billy. She wanted to see our reports but we didn’t have paper ones. If she wanted to complain she would have to come with us to the Head Masters office at break. “Well?” She was blatantly annoyed at our unwillingness to hand over our reports. We had moved up early this morning so she probably didn’t know. Billy answered this time “We don’t have reports anymore Miss” The look on her face was priceless; she looked like she was about to explode. It was at first confusion then realisation. She thought we had got off until she realised we had moved up. It looked like she was about to break into a happy dance but ended up just telling us she would meet us in his office at break. With most reports you were given a booklet that teachers wrote comments in it but when you were on H-M you had to go to his office with your teachers so they moan about you with you there. You could deny doing what they were moaning about but usually you didn’t. Billy winked at me. We began to walk in but Miss Parent started shouting at us, “Come in!”, the she changed her mind “Get out”. I’d had enough of being moaned out, “First you say come in then you say get out! What one do you want me to do?” Then she made up her mind “OUT CLARA, OUT BILLY!”
“Out it is then” I laughed as me and Billy left the room leaving emotionally unstable Miss Parent behind.
