Chapter 12:
I couldn’t really remember anything until that morning when I woke up with a pounding headache and a really dry throat.
“Oh God, what happened last night?” I asked no-one in particular.
“I seem to remember us having some fun, there,” said Billy pointing to the bed, “there” Pointing to the chair, “there,” pointing to the floor, “in there,” he pointed to the bath room, “and against that.” He finished, pointing to the door.
“So we…”
“Yeah…”
“But did we use…”
“Condoms? Yeah.”
I got up and went downstairs to find everyone sitting around the table drinking coffee. They all grinned to each other when I walked in. Shane didn’t, he glared at me.
“So,” said George, “did you guys have enough fun last night?”
“If by fun you mean sex, yeah, I think we might have just about had enough sex for one night.” Shane carried on glaring at me.
“You could have been a bit more considerate…” George continued.
“Ok, so next time me and Billy have sex you want us to keep it down. No chance George.” I grabbed the coffee pot but it was empty, “Thanks for saving me some guys.”
“Well,” said Rosie, “we could have woken you up but none of us wanted to interrupt, so we didn’t.”
“Fine.” I snapped and left the room to find Billy again. I went upstairs and found him sitting on the bed with an old top and a pair of boxer shorts on.
“The others didn’t leave us any coffee. Do you want to go get some from starbucks or something?” I would have suggested going Costa but James’s parents worked in there and it would just be awkward.
“Sure, let me just get dressed and I’ll meet you down stairs. You might want to put some more clothes on as well babe.”
I looked down and saw that I was wearing my bra and a pair of hipsters. Yeah, I probably should put some more clothes on. I went into Rosie’s room and grabbed a red Ralph Lauren polo top, a pair of denim shorts and a red pair of toms. I grabbed a pair of sun glasses and, after putting my hair into a messy bun, put them on my head. I went into the bathroom and grabbed Rosie’s tooth brush and brushed my teeth. I went back downstairs.
“HEY! That’s my top! And me shorts! And my shoes! And wait, are those my glasses?” Rosie thought I would’ve put the clothes I had on yesterday but I think I might have spilt some vodka down the top so that would have been a bit of a problem.
“Yeah, I borrowed your clothes. If you hadn’t drank all the coffee I might have bothered going through the big black bag with my stuff in but my head hurts. So I didn’t bother.”
“Fine. What eve’s.”
I walked to the door with Billy and was about to open it when someone came up behind me.
“Guys, wait for us. We’re out of coffee!” said Shane.
We laughed and went and sat in the front room. The only one in there was Rosie.
“Thanks for waiting for us. We added a load of coffee to each cup so you would have to go out but then we ran out so we’re coming with you. We so didn’t think that plan through.” said Rosie.
“Don’t worry about it; we all make s**t coffee anyway. We would have gone out. What do you want to do today?” I asked.
“Why don’t we go starbucks and think about the major prank. It could work but it would be hard to set up, not to mention illegal but we already have a criminal record so…” said Rosie.
“I just think we should wait a while or else they might get suspicious.” Billy said, that was the first thing he had said in ages.
“They’d be a lot more suspicious if it happened three or four weeks after we were allowed back in.” I said, “Think about it. They would think that we had settled back into our normal routine and were ready to cause trouble. If we do it for the day we get back they’d think that we would never dare to be that bad! I’m doing it with or without your help Bill. You don’t need to help.”
“Shut up Clara. You’re being completely ridicules, if you did it, I’d do it. I love you.” He started walking towards me, taking off his top. I started undoing my shorts…
“OH FOR GOD SAKES! I’M ACTUALLY IN THE ROOM WITH YOU! DID YOU NOT DO IT ENOUGH LAST NIGHT!” Rosie walked out the room before poking her head round the door and continuing “We’re leaving now, are you coming or not?”
I did my shorts back up and left. I was no way not going for coffee.
