The Pirates in disguise pull into port. They unload, and the men began to disperse. "Where will they all go?" "I have my own town I founded just for them. More of my craftsmens and ship builders live locally. They work in my company. They work on my boats and return to their families." "Where will I go?" Blaze takes Hazel gently by the hand, she smiles, "You get to come with me." A carriage drawn by horses rides up. They were beautiful horses. One horse was dapple grey with lighter spots. And the other was a beautiful appaloosa with light brown and spots all over. Blaze goes up to both the horses and address them individually. "Come, Ill introduce you." "To the horses?" "Yes, horses are living creatures with souls. I treat them like they are no different than anyone else on my staff. This is Earl Grey and Alfonso." "Alfonso? Thats a weird name." "Well when I was a kid, there was this book called Pippi Longstocking. She had a horse named Alfonso. And he was an appaloosa just like my Alfonso." Hazel smiled. Shes not entirely sure what Blaze was going on about, but there was this odd side of Blaze she found refreshing. Like a little kid walking around in adult form. Hazel never got to really be a kid. She always worked or took care of someone. The carriage ride was like a whirlwind of adventure during the ride to Blazes home. A handsome man opened the door, "Good afternoon Jefferies. This is my soon to be daughter Hazel." "Good afternoon ma'am, and Miss Hazel." Hazel leans towards Blaze, "Hes so muscular!" "Yes hes my eye candy. At night, he takes off shirt." Blaze smiles and winks at Hazel. "Hawkins find you?" "Yes, ma'am the lawyer is on her way now." "A woman lawyers?" Hazel gasped. "Yes Hazel, I will be damned if I dont support any females and their dreams. The firm I employ allowed the first woman lawyer to practice. It was my only stipulation.' Hazel smiles. "This is just a small home?" Blaze smiles, "I dont need a large home. I custom designed this home. its different. I used to like the older buildings of my era." Blaze showed Hazel around the house, "and then this is your room." "Why are there horses everywhere?" Blaze chuckles, "So here is the thing, other than Disney and comics, Im obsessed with horses. Since I entertain sometimes for business, I keep all my horses upstairs. Where no one else is allowed." "What is Disney and comics?" Blaze laughs. "Never you mind Just dont break my horses or I'll break you." Blaze kisses Hazel on the forehead and bolts out the room. She heard outside the door. "Ma'am, Mr. Atticus Philips is here to see you." "Jefferies! What the hell is he doing here? Show his simple ass into the drawing room." She talks weird, Hazel thought to herself. She sneaks downstairs, to listen to the conversation.
"You want to do what?!"
"I want to lead a raid on a ship coming in to a Port in Philadelphia. Its a short raid."
"I dont like this Atticus. We need to prepare for the Port Royal raid in a few months."
"Please Captain! I promise it will be short and simple."
"I cant go with you, youd be on your own."
"That is fine with me!" Atticus announced adamantly.
"If you're caught you know the protocols."
"Yes Madam. No evidence. We won't be caught."
"Because if you are, I'm not coming to rescue you. Take what men you have. The ship builders stay at home. Jumped in men only."
Atticus nods, "Can I go?" "Why Hazel? I thought you didnt want to be a pirate." "I don't..." Hazel hung her head. "But I don't think I can just jump into this life. Its rather... umm..." "Overwhelming?" "Sure?" "Overwhelming means this is a lot to take in." "Then yes Atticus. Can you watch out over my future daughter?" Atticus smiles big, "Yes madam, I won't let her out of sight, nor shall anyone lay a finger on a sliver of hair on the childs head."
