*Aqua's POV*

I started taking a few steps away from him and said, "Kalen, you love me. Please use your deflection powers. Come on Kalen, please! I love you so much. You can do this. You are stronger than this." I said as I continually took steps back as he kept coming forward.

"Just think about our future and us getting married. Think about our future kids and how they will call you Papa and me Mommy. Think about how happy you will be and use that to fight this! Kalen, please you are strong enough to fight this!"

Tears were coming down Kal's eyes and he took a step towards me. "I love you, Aqua." His arms were wide open for me and just as I was about to hug him, a bloody fist connected with his cheek.

"Hell no, this is not that type of story. Love can't conquer compulsion and most definitely cannot conquer all. You have to save yourself." Dahlia said, and I looked at Kal who had a dagger in his hand. He was going to kill me with that dagger.

"You are correct, Dahlia. This is not that type of story, but it's this type of one." Kion said, and a dark magic spell launched itself at my father and pierced his heart.

"NOOOO!" I cried at the top of my lungs. I had my mom taken away from me, and I dealt with that, but not my father. Not my dad who taught me how to eat and how it means to be a royal. Not my dad who always made sure that I was safe. Not my dad.

I ran towards my father and cradled his head. "Dad, I love you. I love you so much. Please don't leave me. Dad, I can't do this without you. Dad, please I love you. Please." I begged with tears running down my cheeks, revealing my true hair color.

"Seahorse, I love you so much and I am so proud of you, but this is not something I can survive."

"Dad, please don't give up. I will find a way. Please, I love you, and you are stronger than this."

"I can't, Seahorse. I just can't." The tears that were coming down me were infinite, and I just held my father's body.

"Can you see her, Seahorse?" He asked, his breathing getting more erratic.

"Who, Dad?"

"Genesis. Can you see your mother?" He asked, which made my heart break. He was close to passing.

"Dad, I love you, and tell Mom that I love her too. I am going to miss you so much. I love you so much, Dad."

"I love you and your brother so much, Seahorse. I am proud to call myself your father." He coughed out and his breathing stopped.

My screams and cries filled the entire room which made Kion cackle as loud as possible. "You see, you, little princess, are all alone. You lost your father. You have no parents. All you have left is your brother and that won't be for long."

I kept crying until I felt a hand on my shoulder. "No, you are wrong. Aqua will never be all alone because I will always be there for her." Dahlia's voice boomed throughout the room. Dahlia, the shield.

I felt another hand on my shoulder and saw a black-haired boy with familiar hazel eyes fighting the effects of the potion. "She is the little sister that I always wanted, and family never leaves family." I knew that it was Tyrus, the Broken.

"She is strong." Silas's voice said as he laid his hand on my back by my shoulder. Silas the Ancillary.

"And it will be hard, but she will get through it." Santino said with his hand on my back. Santino, the Longing.

Finally, Kalen stood tall and said, "She will get through it because she is loved and it is because of that love that she will never be alone." Kalen, the Cretinous.

I took a deep breath and wiped away my tears before getting up. "I am not some little princess alone in this world. I am Aqua Marie Okeah, Queen of the Oceans, Seas, and Sky. Most of all, I am Aqua, the sword, squired with the Broken, the Longing, the Ancillary, and the Cretinous. I am strong!" I shouted and the Trident of the Sea appeared at my side. It was my father's weapon.

I slammed the Trident against the floor and thunder ripped through the air and a jolt of lightening was sent through the floor and to Kion's body. I then took a step forward and swirled the Trident above my head before slamming it on the floor once more, which conjured all of the Ancestral Dragons. It was the Ancestral Dragons who carried out the act of justice.

"It is not power that makes a person strong. It is the people around them, and the bonds they share." I said as Kion's body went limp.

The Ancestral Dragons then went around the room undoing the spell and cleaning up the mess of shifters.

When the Ancestral Dragons finished, they all stood in front of me and bowed before swirling around my body and imprinting me with their own markings up and down my arms. Then they disappeared.

Kai ran through the crowd of people and engulfed me in a hug before bursting into a fit of tears himself. We just held each other up, clinging onto each other for dear life because at the end of the day, he was the only immediate family that I had left. Kai was it.

"We are going to get through this." He said while wiping the tears from under my eyes.

"Together." I said before giving him one final hug before I turned to all of my friends. "Thank you for all having my back. I couldn't ask for better friends."

"Are you kidding me?" Tyrus said, "I speak for everyone when I say that we couldn't ask for a more badass friend." His words were enough to bring me to laughter while they all engulfed me in a huge group hug.
