'Mate'
That was the only word running through his head. The king looked down at her with mixed emotions.
But...
As soon as those emotions came, they were gone. Nothing new there.
Although he kept a tough guy act on the out side. He was having an internal battle not only with himself, but with all his other creatures too.
All his wolf wanted to do was to mark, mate and love their mate on the spot. All the demon wanted to do was take their mate, lock her up in a room with them and love and cherish her to no end.
The Lycan was another story... hell even the king was surprised that he had made an entrance in their life.
His Lycan never showed up in his life if you don't count the time when he first shifted into its humongous beastly form.
All the Lycan wanted to do was cover her with it's big and very muscular body. He wanted to make sure that she was protected from the whole world. Not even she should hurt herself.
It wanted to make it clear that she would be safe and nothing would get in its way of making sure that she is safe and happy. It also wanted to make sure that it's mate would not have any wondering eyes set on her or any males set out to win her over.
She was theirs and they were dead set on making it clear.
The king...
The king knew that if he would acknowledge the woman infront of them as his mate, it would mean that he would have to claim her. He would have to protect and love her, cherish her like she was everything to him (which he didn't need to do because she already was everything to him.)
But what kinda scared him was the fact that there would be an instant target on her back.
He felt conflicted.
He didnt know weather to choose his mate and have her in constant danger or leave her then suffer the consequences of rejecting his mate. (Not that he could anyway)
Sure the king wasn't a saint but, atleast he was not as bad as his grandfather.
Aquamarine looked back at her mate who she had thought was a robot before with so much anger. The emotions swirling in his eves confirmed that he had not been a piece of metal and hotness.
She was the first to break out of her trance and look away from her poor excuse of a mate.
She looked back at the two giant wolves and shook her head with a sigh.
She knew what she had to do.
She stood up on her shaky legs and leaned on a nearby tree, breathing heavily.
She looked up at the dark sky filled with stars and a single half moon and prayed to herself with her hands clasped together.
"God if your listening to me, please send me back home. I regret insisting on moving here. I promise that I will be more honest and try to never tell a lie again. Heck, i even promise to listen when being scolded. I'll even talk to my father and try to not be professional with him anymore-" The girl didn't even try to hide to obvious begging in her tone. She was desparate.
Even her own supernatural beings shut her out. She didn't know why but they just turned quiet all of a sudden and kept to themselves.
Aquamarine felt as though she had a big hole in her chest that couldn't be filled. She didn't know wether to be angry or sad that her creatures had left her in her time of need, they even went as far as to promise that they wouldn't leave her, ever. Not like before.
But...
Here they were, blocking her out and leaving her all to herself.
She looked up and whisperd to the one of the sky in vulnerability.
"Father God I'll even go as far as to never prank Leonel when he is working on something serious again." She did not care about anything anymore. All she wanted was to get out of there.
She didn't care about the consequences of sneeking out in the middle of the night. She didn't care if she would get a huge lecture from her older cousin. All she wanted to do was get out of that situation and never look back.
Fuck her fated mate and other supernatural shit.
She looked back down, her head bowed in defeat and sighed yet again.
"Please Lord, please make me go back home safe and sound. Even if Thulisa would give me the most biggest lecture yet, it doesn't matter anymore. In the name of Jesus, AMEN." We're the last words she whisperd before her vision blured to the point where she couldn't see anymore.
Of course the three males heard her prayer and Kaden couldn't help but snort in amusement. It sounded more like he was either choking on something or sneezing in his wolf form.
Kaden immediately straightened up, alert at the woman's change of mood. He hadn't noticed it before but now he could that there was something wrong with her.
Is she gonna cry? Kaden asked through the mind link, still looking at the woman's facial expression.
His brother, Jaden and also the Kings second in command had not noticed her change because he was too busy trying to figure the girl out and talking to his mate to prepare a bed with a docter to check over the girl. She looked familier to him...
But he just couldn't point out where he had seen her.
The king was too lost in thought to also notice the change in the woman infront of him. After she had said her last words of prayer he had zoned out. His thoughts were going haywire.
Where did she live?
Who did she live with?
What did she lie about?
Was she really a rebel?
Did she not listen when she got scolded?
Who was her father and what did he do to her?
Was she really rude to him?
Who was Leonel?
Was he one of her boyfriend's or was he a friend or sibling?
Which other family did she have?
Why was she so beutiful and entrancing?
Why did he have to get a mate?
Did she have a boyfriend?
She was too innocent for him and he knew it.All those types of thoughts consumed him whole but Kaden's question had snapped him out of that trance.
The king looked at the small woman infront of him and watched as she slowly closed her eyes and fell backwards, hitting the forest floor woth a loud thud and her head hitting the large rock behind her painfully, successfully creating a large pool of blood in an instant.
