Chapter 14

Aquamarine sat on the bed, lost in thought. She didn't know that things could turn out this way in just under a month. She found her mate, she saw her sister again, she got kidnapped and experimented on with some substances she didn't know and on top of all of that, her mate was forcing her to live with him.

A part of her wanted I decline but another part.... stronger than the other,wanted her to go with him and be his luna.

Luna...

That one word made Aquamarine almost wet her panties.

She was afraid.

She didn't know what to do because just like everyone else, she was also part human. She made mistakes and some people didn't like her at all. Sure she would act like she didn't care at all but she did. It always hurt when someone would say something bad about her. Some which are truth and some, not.

What if the pack didn't like her?
What if he was one of those Alpha's with a lot of mistresses?

Aqua didn't like to share anything, (mostly cake) and now her mate.

She could feel that he was strong.... much stronger than her but she didn't let that bother her too much. They were mates anyway so what was there to be scared of?

Aquamarine turned her head to his sleeping form, both her sister and the beta had left, leaving him to look after her. He actually looked uncomfortable in that chair. His huge build on something so small was kinda a funny sight to behold.

A knock on the door interrupted Aqua from her wondering thoughts. Her head turned to see who it was only to be greeted by a rare hug from her cousin.

"Hey. How are you feeling?" Thulisa leaned back and out her bag on the bed then sat down.

Aquamarine smiled a bit. "I could've been better." She lifted up her hand, revealing the tube connected to her hand.

Thulisa frowned. "Aqua..." She trailed off softly.

"Why did you run off like that?"

Aquamarine let out a sigh. She knew that this was comming.

"I didn't want you to think that i was always being irresponsible." She mumbled, hanging her head low in shame.

"What are you talking about?"

"Thulisa..." Aqua started, "I'm always the one getting into trouble between the two of us. It's always me who disappoints you." She emphasised.

"Aqua..." Thulisa tried to protest.

"No. Let me finish." Aqua pleaded with her eyes then took a long deep breath before continuing. "The truth is... I have always looked up to you, even when we were little and I was also jealous of you Thuli." Aqua admitted.

"I always used to live with mama ka le bo mma but I always wanted what you got. I would sometimes try be like you but i couldn't. I lived close to the getto and you lived in the suburbs. Your English we better than mine... even when I tried to keep up with you. When your mom would boast about your school marks, I would try and make everyone proud too because I felt like you were getting more attention from our family. When my mom died, I was devistated because I never really spent time with her like I had to. I would always leave that for Aquata." A tear slipped out of Aqua's eye but she quickly wiped it off.

"I wouldn't stay close to my dad or my mom because I would always want to be with you and your mom. When I came to live with you, I was exited. My fake dad wasn't rich and he didn't really care about me. He would always drink out and smoke. At one point I stopped visiting him. I didn't wanna have an alcoholic of a father and I always thought that my real dad was actually my uncle." Aqua laughed at that thought.

"I really liked living with you just like how Aquata liked living with my real father. We got close and both Aquata and i's English improved a lot. We spole less Tswana and Zulu but it didn't really matter bacause we knew English. I really changed after my mom died. My smiles became fake and I didn't enjoy anything anymore.."

"When we started living together, I was happy and promised myself that I would never disappoint you...but I did, again and again. I'm really sorry for that Thuli."

Thulisa gave Aqua a smile, she understood her completely.

"I'm not disappointed in you Aqua. We fight a lot and I really do get angry at you. I have noticed that I ignore you a lot when we fight and fifty percent of the time it's my fault. I'm sorry for that." Thulisa apologised too.

"Cousins for life?" Aquamarine stuck out her hand.

"Cousins for life." Thulisa confirmed, shaking their hands together and trying not to hurt Aqua in the process.

Mama ka le mma - my mom and mom.

In this case, Aqua calls her grandma "Mma". She has done it ever since she was a kid so it stuck with her. (I'm basically talking about me😂)

Mama ka= My mom and le mma= and mom (who is basically her granny)

So in this case, Aqua is saying... "I always used to live with my mom and granny."

Mama ka le bo mma= My mom and the rest (I don't known if that is understandable but yeah)
