Chapter 7

"Leave." The king commanded.

He was still on edge and didn't want his mate to feel uncomfortable.

Lola stared at the king in disbelief.

"I..."

She didnt know how to explain.

"King, the girl is my..."

"Did you not hear what I said or are you too dumb to comprehend it? I said leave. "He ordered once again.

Lola looked back at Aquamarine then turned to the door. At that very same moment she bumped into her mate and Aquamarine stoped her.

"Wait!"

"Are you ok babe?!"

They both shouted.

Lola's mate saw the tears in her eyes and instantly got worried.

The king had felt as if he had been shocked by electricity. Her voice had him mentally panting. He wanted, no, he needed to hear her speak. She had sounded so devine.

At that moment, he didn't care that someone else had barged in the room or if Kaden had been sitting the corner the whole morning. He felt at ease but still kept his guard up.

"I'm fine" Lola answered. She didn't even acknowledge Aquamarine after that. She just gave her mate a tired smile and tried to go out the door, but her mate stopped her.

"Where are you going you cookie eater? You owe me three boxes of Oreos." Her mate teased.

She knew that he was joking but she was still going to buy them. She felt guilty for taking them without his permission. Even if she hadn't known that it was his.

Aquamarine got out of bed without anyone noticing. She ignored the pain in her neck and turned to her mate.

"Why am I here?" She calmly asked.

Her mate went out of his not so innocent thoughts and looked at his now standing mate.

"Why are you out of bed? Get back in the sheets." He gruffly ordered.

Aquamarine ignored him and instead, took a step forward.

They stared at each other for a couple of minutes not caring if anyone was in the room with them.

"Your not the boss of me." She seethed.

It had taken a couple of minutes but she had her thoughts back together and could form a proper sentence.

The king grew angry. He did not like the tone Aquamarine was using.

Kaden saw the change in mood and immediately stood up. He had so badly wanted to let them fight but he could see the fire in the woman's eyes.

They spoke volumes.

"So, um... this just got awkward so I'm just going to start this off by saying hey." He waved. "I'm Kaden. The most handsomest person you will ever meet in your life."

"Wow." Aquamarine huffed. "Your cocky." She bluntly stated.

Kaden smirked. "Well I'm more than cocky. If you want, I can show you want I'm talking about pretty girl."

"Not interested."

"Ok then aren't you going to introduce yourself?" Kaden asked instead.

"Why should I?" Aquamarine raised a brow. "For all i know, you could be murderers and rapists." Aquamarine stated bluntly.

It stung to hear his mate saying those things about them but the king kept quiet, his anger rising very slowly.

"Shut up, Aqua!" Lola shouted.

She sounded enraged. How dare she say such things about her mate, his brother and the king? She wanted to go up to her and slap her hard.

The king feel his anger rise even more but this time, it wasn't at his mate. He was angry at the beta female.

"Beta" he ground out. "Put your mate back in her place." The king stiffly orderd.

He did not want to blow up, his mate was in the room.

"Yes Alpha."

"Alpha?" Aquamarine snorted.

The kings wolf felt wounded at the sarcasm that came from her lips.

"Thats your name?" She started laughing.

She knew what an alpha was but to them, she was human.

"Wait." She laughed again. "Don't tell me that you all are werewolves and I'm his mate." She pointed at Kaden.

The king's wolf surged forward, wanting to rip out Kaden's head.

She was not Karen's mate, she was his! And he would prove that, even if she doesn't stop pushing his buttons.

"That's enough."

It wasn't the king who said that.

Lola looked at the entrance of the door and gasped tears welling in her eyes.

"Thulisa?"
