Chapter 16

Aquamarine walked out of the house. It was around 11 and it was pretty dark out and she had heard something which she couldn't simply ignore. She trusted her instincts and they told her that someone was watching them... more specifically, Thulisa.

The question was, WHY?

She got out of bed quietly and mutterd something under her breath. It was a spell which she was taught by her grandmother. She could walk on air close to the ground and it would make no sound at all.

Aquamarine walked over to her open window and jumped up, almost landing on the ground but thanks to her spell, she was walking on air. A silhouette could be seen not so far from Thulisa's room.

Aqua was a bit surprised that Thulisa hadn't seen him but still walked over to him.

"Who are you?"

The man turned around quickly, a surprised look on his face.

"I asked you a question..."

"None of your business." The man mutterd, his accent heavy.

"You sound Asian. Are you Asian?" Aqua decided to ask instead and the man nodded still silently watching Thulisa.

"I'm Korean." He answered.

"Cool..." Aqua trailed off.

"May I ask why you are looking at my cousin like a creep?"

"No you may not."

"Fine." Aqua huffed then an idea came to mind. "I'll go wake her up now." The man turned to face Aqua with a death glare.

"You wouldn't dare."

"Try me." Aqua smirked.

"Fine. Your cousin is my mate. I know that you are not a human so you don't have to hide it. I won't tell anyone." He informed her before turning to look at his mate again.

Aqua looked at the intruder in shock. How did he... did Thulisa tell him?

"If she is your mate then why don't you go in and sleep with her or go and say hi?" She was confused there.

"She doesn't want me." The man admitted, a defeated look crossing his handsome features.

Aqua couldn't believe that Thulisa didn't want her mate. She had always dreamed about having one and going around with her, bragging about how cool their mates were.

"Why do you think that?" Aqua decided to ask instead.

"She ran away from me."

"I'll help you get with her." Aqua offered and the man turned to look st her again.

"You would do thay for me? Why?"

"Because my cousin deserves happiness too. I have a mate too and sure we are not getting along now because he is a bossy prick but he is still my mate. I'll learn to love him and shit." Aqua explained.

The man moved away from the window and jumped down next to Aqua then sitting on the ground.

"Who is your mate?"

"I don't know." Aqua told him. "I keep hearing people call him king or something like that and if he really is royalty and acts snobbishly then I am rejecting his ass." She told him as she also took a seat... still in the air.

"Can I ask one more question?"

"You already did." Aqua rolled her eyes at that.

"No wonder why she didn't like you."

"What?"

"What?" Aqua acted dumb.

"Repeat what you said."

"What?"

"I said that you should repeat what you said." The man told her again.

"I did, I said "What?"

"Ask your question."

Aqua rolled her eyes. "Why do you answer in only one sentence?"

"I don't know." He answerd and Aqua sighed.

"Yep, we have a lot of work to do." Aqua mumbled tirelessly as she ran a hand down her tired face.
