Chapter 17

A few days passed with nothing out of the ordinary happening. Well... everything was as ordinary as it got for the two cousins.

Thulisa's mate and Aquamarine had become very close friends over time to the point where they were almost inseparable. Every evening while Thulisa was asleep, the two would meet up and sit under the stars, getting to know one another even more. In a friendly way, of course.

"Who are you communicating with?" Thulisa questioned as she enterd the kitchen door.

Thulisa had noticed how Aquamarine had always been glued to her electronic device lately. She would always smile and giggle every once in a while.

Aquamarine looked up, a bit startled by her older cousin's entrance.

"Oh..." she mumbled to herself. "I didn't see you there and to answer your question, I'm just talking to my new friend Leo. He is the best." Aquamarine boasted and Thulisa nodded, already getting bored of the conversation and went over to the table where an unopened pack of chips laid.

They look like they were waiting for me all along. Thulisa's mouth watered at the thought and tool the packet. She opened it and leaned against the table.

"So... did you already pack?"

Aquamarine looked up from her phone and to her cousin, a confused expression on her face.

"What do you mean?" Thulisa took a bite of one of the many chips.

"Don't tell me you forgot." Thulisa rolled her eyes, swallowing the chip before continuing. "Your mate is comming here to get you. We talked yesterday and you agreed for him to come and get you."

Aquamarine's eyes widened in shock. "Your not serious, are you?"

Thulisa shrugged in response and took a hand full of ships, shoving them in her mouth in an unlady like manner. "Were you not paying attention to me yesterday?"

"Of course I was. Did I say how long I'll be going there?" Aquamarine hoped that she at least sounded truthful but the look on her cousin's face told her otherwise.

"You agreed to live there forever."

"Oh..." Aquamarine stood up from her chair and walked over to Thulisa "Well.. in that case then I guess I'm gonna have to do this" she said as she dug her hand in the pack of chips, stealing some and running away to pack.

"Aquamarine I hate you!" Aqua just laughed in responce then stopped once she got to the staircase. She turned to look at Thulisa and leaned against the railing.

"You know you love me." She teased before running up the stairs again but this time she fell and rolled down the stairs, landing with a loud thud on the carpeted floor.

Thulisa burst out laughing at the whole situation and struggled to walk up to Aquamarine. "A-are you o-ok? You know that your not supposed to run up or down the stairs, right?"

Aquamarine responded with a groan of pain and rolled over. "I think I broke a bone."

"Oh, stop whining you big baby and go pack, I can sense your mate walking towards the door."

Aquamarine stood up slowly and this time, walked up the stairs to pack.

Thulisa opened the door to welcome the King but immediately closed it after seeing the person on the other end.

What was he doing here?
How did he find me?
And why the hell was he with Aqua's mate?

All those thoughts ran in Thulisa's mind as she shook in both fear and anxiety.

"Thulisa, open the door. I have come to get my mate." The king's voice got muffled by the door.

"I'll be out in a second!" She hollerd.

"Tell Aquamarine to hurry!" The male next to the king shouted back and Thulisa's heart skipped a beat.

"Y-yeah. Ok." She mumbled, knowing fully well that he could hear her

"Aqua! They said that you should take your time!"

"Ok!" Aqua sat on her bed and started texting her friends. She was going to try and negotiate with her mate so that she wouldn't have to go.

Thulisa opened the door and looked at both the men's feet. The king went inside the house to get his mate, not even greeting Thulisa on the way but Thulisa did not worry about that for she was left with none of her than her mate.

"Look at me, mate." Leo urged calmly and she did, it was for split second but it happend anyways.

"What do you want from me?" She questioned, looking anywhere but him at the moment.

Leo sighed. "You know what I want." He replied and Thulisa shook her head.

"I'll give you anything except for that." She told him. Thulisa wasn't ready for a mate yet. She had always wanted one but she couldn't help but not want to be with him a that moment. Thulisa felt as though she had too many responsibilities already.

Leo let out a laugh as dry as they came. "You want to deprive me and my wolf of our own mate?" His voice got a bit louder as fury settled seep within himself.

Thulisa shook her head in denial. "No no no. I'm not saying that I want to reject you or not be your mate." She correcred. "I'm just saying that, at the moment, I am not ready for a mate. I-I have a lot of responsibilities that I can't just ignore along with my cousin Aqua. Who will take care of her if I agree to come with you at this moment?"

"Aquamarine is her own fucking person, damnit! She is damn well enough to take care of her fucking herself and on top of that she has her fucking mate to help her, Thulisa." Leo felt his voice cracking as tears welled in his eyes.

"And what do I have, huh?! No one because your too scared to be by my side, ruling like my Luna is supposed to! Not only are you being selfish as fuck, your also running away from your rightful responsibilities like the coward you are!" Leo turned around and walked off into the forest, feeling hurt by Thulisa's lack of responce and ran.

That happened and... I honestly don't know if I should make a book for Thulisa and Leo or just put my mind only on finishing this one.

This book is almost done, by the way... just a few chapters or more then Aquamarine and The king's story will be finished...

Oh... and I forgot to mention that there will most definitely will be a twist to this book so embrace yourselves people😉 it's about to get hot up in here😎
