Charlie was asleep in the very uncomfortable hospital chair when Maggie bursted through the hospital room door. He rubbed his eyes and looked at his watch. "Where is your sister?" He asked.

"In the garden. I'm going to the hotel." Maggie huffed.

"Woah, you left her there? You know she can't walk, right?" Charlie asked. His daughter shot him a look of "I don't care" before grabbing her jacket and bag and heading for the door. Charlie grabbed her shoulder to stop her. "You can't just leave her there and you can't just leave here."

"She doesn't want our help anymore, Dad. She only cares about herself and Edward anymore. We mean shit to her!"

"Language!" He yelled, his hands finding his hips.

"I can't do this anymore, Dad." Maggie opened the door and began walking out but Charlie followed first. "You can't just abandon us, Maggie, your sister needs us!"

"No she doesn't!" Maggie yelled, stopping and turning to face her father. "She's leaving us! She's going to move out and live with the Cullens and never see us again. She's going to drop us and she's going to forget about us. She's going to change, she's been changing since she first stepped off the plane!"

Maggie hadn't realized that she was crying. Charlie saw the tears form in her eyes and took the initiative to grab Maggie into a hug. He was in such a predicament that a wave of relief came over him when Reneé came around the corner. His pain went to her face.

"What's happening?!" She asked, placing a hand on her daughters back.

"Maggie would like to go back to the hotel." Charlie said. Maggie pulled back and wiped the tears from her pink cheeks.

"Oh no, sweetie, is everything okay?" Reneé asked her youngest.

"I just don't want to be here anymore. I wanna go back to the room. I wanna go home." She sighed.

Reneé and Charlie shared similar looks and he nodded. "Let me take you back. Maybe Bella could use some mother-daughter time. Since that's what she really left for in the first place." Charlie was sarcastic in his last few words. He knew it and Reneé knew it but Maggie was left out of the joke.

So while Reneé retrieves Bella, Charlie and Maggie returned to the hospital room where they gathered their belongings and headed back to hotel.

Bella remained in the hospital for a few more days before the family returned home to Forks. Reneé said goodbye to her girls and promised to see them again soon before returning to Florida. Bella was quiet the whole way home but opened up more when they got back to their home in Washington.

"I'm sorry you had to go all the way out there." Bella apologized as the family settled into the home again.

"Why were you really leaving, Bella?" Charlie interrogated. He hasn't said much since talking to Maggie the first night but since he has had so long to think about things, it's time that he got answers.

"I told you, I was going to mom's." Bella defended, pulling her sleeves over her fist in awkwardness.

"That's bullshit, Bella, tell me the truth. Why were you leaving?!" Charlie seldomly raises his voice but this was a situation where he needed to bring it forward.

Bella looked helplessly between her father and sister as she raked her brain for an answer. Does she tell the truth or lie? "I was going to see mom-"

"I'm going to stop you right there," Charlie interrupted and sat across from Bella at the dinning table. "I talked to your mom and she had no idea what I was talking about when I told her about you visiting. She said she hadn't talk to you since you moved out here. Now, I'm gonna ask one more time and I better get the truth; why were you leaving?!"
