Beep beep 6 am and my alarm goes off. Today is no normal Saturday! Today me and my best friend Molly audition for the actual aldc competition team! I check for the millionth time I have everything in my bag then pull on hot pink bootie shorts and a matching aldc crop top I bought especially. I put my hair in a high dance bun and add a small flower to it. I head downstairs where my strawberry banana smoothie and hot buttered toast is waiting. "Are you excited sweetie?" My mom Rosetta asks. "Yup!" I reply, finishing my smoothie and putting my plate in the dishwasher. "Wow, you were fast!" She exclaims. I put on my studio 15 jacket and slip on my UGGS. Could this be my last day of wearing this jacket? I don't know. Dance bag in hand, I head to the car.

(I'm using Rihanna Quinn as Summer Louise) We stop at Molly's House and pick her up. She is wearing her studio 15 jacket too, with black bootie shorts and a red aldc crop top with a red bow adorning her high ponytail. She grins at me as she climbs in next to me. "I'm soooooo excited!" She exclaims. "Me too!" I agree, grinning from ear to ear.
When we pull up outside , we instantly jump out and start taking selfies and photos. I post mine on insta @summer.louise
Aldc,here we come! @dancer_mollymoo @TheRealAbbyLee
When we get inside, numbers are pinned on our shorts, I get 127 and Molly gets 128. My mom sets our stuff down where she's sitting and we change into the required tan jazz shoes. We scurry into the room just as Abby appears. "Dancers, pour out your heart and soul into this. Dance as if your life depends on it and maybe, you will be a winner. Laziness will cost you your spot!" Abby yells. Wow, this is gonna be tough. "To assist I have my choreographer- Gianna Martello, Maddie Ziegler, Brynn Rumfallo, Kalani Hilliker and Mackenzie Ziegler." We all clap as Gianna waves and the girls bounce in. Then the music starts and we are thrown into dance mode. "201, 52, 97 time to go," I breathe a sigh of relief. "29, 47, 115- HOT MESS" "154 bye honey" "69, 210 they aren't oversplits, bye!" "35 off you go" This continues until the final 6 are left- including me and Molly! "Dancers, we want to see your acro, round off back tuck first." A tall girl with 24 pinned on her blue shorts completes the task, then a boy numbered 99. Next 128 Molly and she does it easily. Then me and I remember to point my toes. Next a gothic looking girl will her short hair hanging loose and finally a little girl with amazing tumbling skill and adorable facials goes last. "Chin stand for 30 seconds" Gianna says. The tall girl manages 10 and is sent off. The boy, Molly and me do it and then the gothic girl has super flexed feet so is sent off. Of course, the little girl gets it. "side aerial" Oh no! I think. Molly hasn't mastered her side aerial. The boy completes his and the Molly goes. She's doing fine until she puts her hand down. Dang it. "128 I said side aerial, not one handed cartwheel, you can go." My heart sinks for her. She's an amazing Dancer but acro isn't her forte. Me and the little girl complete the move. "A Dancer needs to be versatile so please fetch your tap shoes." Abby announces. Me and the boy run and get ours however the little girl's bottom lip starts to quiver. "I.. I don't tap.." She says. "You can go" Abby says curtly. She runs crying to her mom. Kalani and Brynn are excused and Mackenzie watches while Maddie demonstrates the routine. We learn the routine and we then have to perform it as a solo. The boy goes first and dang he's good. I go and make sure I make my taps clear and use appropriate facials. We then stand in the middle of the vast studio A and Abby addresses us. "99, 128 you are both amazing dancers. 99 can you step forwards?" The boy steps forwards and knots form in my stomach. "Sadly, I have to let you go" My hands fly to my mouth in shock. "128 welcome to the team!" My mom comes in and I shakes hands with Gia. Abby hands her the contract and tells us to be at the studio by 8 on Monday for Pyramid and assignments and also that I am on probation until further notice. Also I have to be homeschooled This made me upset but Molly was OK so so am I. I couldn't tell anyone until Saturday after we competed that I was on the team. I was so happy!
