I didn’t talk to Louis for the rest of the day. Although, I did call him the next morning for school, finally Friday. The whole day was really fast before I knew it we were already picking up Elias. “Louis were you mad at me?” I asked. “No of course not. Its just that it’s-” he had no words so I finished for him. “Complicated…” I finished. He nodded . “Elias said you like me and well that’s-” That boy never lets me finish. “No I think you’re beautiful but I don’t like you. Well I do but I don’t. Wow that sounded stupid.” I giggled and he offered, “Look its Friday lets just have a movie night with Movies and TV show re-runs.” I nodded and we went to his house.
I was channel surfing and he stood there with a blank expression and I realized what he was doing. “LOUIS!!! Stop your not going to read my mind”, I shouted. “Haha I know I tried, But no look Elias is asleep for once. Yay!!” he said followed by a smile which showed his white teeth to me. I couldn’t help but giggle. “So finally Friday!! What do we watch…” I asked. “Umm.. Doctor Who or The big bang Theory?”, he suggested. “What kind of question is that? WE ARE WATCHING BOTH !!”, I exclaimed. We watched The big bang theory for four hours. Then before we knew it we saw another four hours of Doctor Who. It was around midnight when I finally drifted of to sleep in the couch. I woke up around three am to find the kitchen light on and to be surprised I was still at Louis house.
“ Mom, you don’t understand. Its just I really like her, but every time I see her I loose the words and everything just goes blank.”, he whispered to someone as he sipped on his tea. Then I heard a voice respond, “Louis, son calm down. The time will come when you’re brave enough to tell Sarah you-”
I swear that boy loves interrupting people including his mom. “Mom be quiet… you’ll wake her up and she will hear you. And what do you expect me to say ‘Hey Sarah yeah so I think you are pretty will you go out with me?’ Mom it’s not that simple she’s been through a lot and I’ve been there with her, I-I just cant. I just can’t tell her that her best friend likes her. It’ll be weird and I almost gave it away two days ago. It was scary mum.”, he said. That just broke my heart I felt my heart drop and tears wanted to come down. I just didn’t really know what to do. Like you know that feeling you get when you have to make a tough choice. You have your stomach in knots, your brain in confusion, your heart in half ,and you just want to break down into tears? That’s how I feel right now listening to them talk. “There’s that small British accent of yours. That was your dad’s problem. He didn’t have the nerve but with that British accent he hesitated and asked ,badly, but he won me over. Louis that’s what will make it easier. Since you know everything about her it’ll be easier to ask. Just wait for the time to come son.”, whispered his mom. She got up, kissed his forehead, and walked back to her room. I laid down back on the couch and I then knew, Elias wasn’t lying even though he was only a soon to be three year old… He was right. Louis really did like me.
The next morning when I woke up everyone was asleep and Louis was asleep on the table with a piece of paper next to him. The paper looked as if it was wet but its dry now, it had scribbles all over the place ,and I wasn’t a snitch but I wanted to know. After what I heard last night I had to know.
