Gwen's Pov:

What happened? I thought to myself.

Am lying on the clinic bed, I think, as I hear two people talking to each other. And I don't know why but I'm afraid to open my eyes.

"Why are we still here?" Said a super familiar voice. And that voice! It's his. Am I still dreaming? It's Austin's.

"Let's wait until she wakes up" came from Gab. If I am not mistaken, despite of Gab being a hotty, he's also kind and bubbly.

How'd I know? Well Gab is the center of fun in our school. When I say fun, it means party and games. He always hosed house party whenever he has a chance. He's the life of every party. And he's undeniably handsome too. But not as handsome as Austin. Almost like Dave but he's more sporty and sexy. A boyfriend kind of guy except the guy is also the number one player in our school. He's loved by everyone. And he broke the image of a jock. He's approachable and sweet. Who wouldn't know him.

"Stop staring at her. Let's go now." Austin said in annoyance.

Why is he here? Can I open my eyes? Please!

"Man! She really is pretty." Gab replied. And it's flattering of course. "How come....." then he stop for some reason I cannot understand.

I can't see anything. But I heard low murmuring.

And where is David? The last thing I remember, David is with me at the canteen. And he's the one who said he'll bring me to clinic. Then I slowly open my eyes. And saw Gab and Austin murmuring.

Should I talk? Should I say something?!

"Uhmmm! Hi!" The first word I uttered that made them look at my direction. "Where am I?"

Who am I?

Idiot! I know I'm in the clinic! Well yeah! Of course I knew it! I wouldn't suffer from amnesia just from knocking out by a football in my head.

"Oh hi Evans, we're at the clinic. I'm Gabby by the way." Gab introduce himself as if I didn't know who he is. "And I'm sorry again. Are you okay now? The nurse said we'll send you to the hospital if you feel dizzy when you wake up." He asked sincerely.

"I-I'm fine. There's no need for that." I replied that made him smile. "Where is David? I-I thought he's with me before my vision gets b-blurry." I asks Gabby, buckling.

And because my eyes can't help it, I glance to the guy leaning onto the wall. The guy is busy with his cellphone, playing I think. And looking at him made my heart bits so fast.

He's so near! Less than a meter away from me.

Since five years ago, that day when he told me he doesn't want to play with me, this is the closest distance we've had.

I look away. I can't look for too long, my eyes are so blessed with his presence that it can't be too greedy to stare longer.

"Very well! I think she really is fine now!" Austin said without even glancing at me, still playing with his phone. "Gab, let's go! Her boyfriend will be here any moment now, we don't need to be here anymore". He said irritably.

"Fine!" Gabby replied and he looks at me again telling me his one last apology and wave me goodbye.

"Wait!" I said in a little louder voice to get their attention, then they both look back again. "I-I do not have a boyfriend. Uhm.. just to clarify, David is my b-bestfriend"

My mouth. But geez! I don't want him to have the wrong idea.

"Good to know Gwen!" Gab replied smiling at me! And Austin just snap and continue walking out of the clinic.

"Gabby, right?" He nod "how'd you know my name, we've never been in the same class right?!" I asked out of curiosity.

"Of course I know you." he replied chuckling.

"H-how?!" I uttered confusedly.

"Oh you don't know? I thought you're just a snob. Haha!" He chuckled again. "But I see, you just didn't notice things and people around you, because you haven't notice yourself at all. I think you're the prettiest in this school. One of the hottest I guess. You should know by now." And he smile. "I really have to go. Austin already leaves. He would kill me if I stayed longer."

And he waves goodbye. Leaving me confused and startled with my head still hurting a little.

"What happened Dave? You're there and then you're gone." Me, slightly blaming slash slightly thanking him.

After Gab and Austin leaved, the school nurse came back and ask me some questions. Then she said that there's nothing to worried about, I fainted from shock and pain in the head, but nothing serious. But she advice me to go home and rest, just to be sure. But then, I can't ride bus or taxi alone with this condition. So I waited for my chauffeur for a little while, spending more time in the clinic.

Thanks to David I didn't have to undergo inconvenience. He drove me home as usual.

"Supposedly!" He replied. "But don't worry, I helped them carry you to the clinic coz you know, you're so heavy, you weigh like two sacks of rice. You're full of it." Dave, smiling with his lame joke.

"Oh really, that's funny you know" I replied with my oh so sarcastic voice, while eye rolling.

"Kidding aside, I was really there, but then Lisa, you know her? The President!" He quoted with his fingers, pertaining to the President of student council. "She called me for some urgent meeting. So I have to leave. You should be thanking me. You're hero slash accident doer is there"

I forgot to mention, David is the Vice President of the student council, because he's one of the friendliest in our school. I can even crown him as Mr. Congeniality of our campus. His cool aura and bubbly side, made him excluded to the nerdy list. Some girls around even define him as 'smart is the new sexy!'.

And that's gross!! Eeeewwww!

"He is not the one who throws that ball, it was Gab and it's just an accident" I said, depending my hero.

"Whatever!" He replied irritably smirking as he continue. "And by the way, that meeting is to clean the Christmas decors in halls and classrooms. To decorate it for the coming PROM. And you, Ms. Evans, is nominated for Prom Queen, by the way. Along with the hottest girls in campus. So dress nicely." Dave said in one breathe as if saying a nonsense thing.

"What? When will the Prom night be? And why me?" I said in in shock.

Let me be clear, for me not to look dumb. I know that I am pretty. I look a little different from others because I am mixed racial. But as mention by Gabby, me the prettiest in the campus? That is a bit exaggerated.

"Less than two months. On or after valentines day I think. You have so many days to get ready. And Austin is also nominated, not a shocking news, right?" He said, again in the same tone.
