Bill's Point of view
It has been a week since Bev left. I went to my mailbox to see if I receive the letter, Bev promised to write. I saw the envelope. I took it and I rushed to my room. I am so excited to read it. I saw her name on the back and heart started to beat faster.
Dear Billy,
How are you doing? I am doing fine if you ask.
My grandmother is getting better thanks to the doctors here. I can't stop thinking about you. I miss you so much.
Let me tell you about my new school. I love it. Everyone here is great. I think I made some friends but they won't replace you, for sure.
I will always be a member of the Losers Club.
I have a surprise for you in a month. I added a calendar to this letter to countdown the days until my surprise. Love you, Billy.

                                             With Love, Beverly

On the back of the letter was a calendar. And I saw that 22 December is circled. I put the letter next to my heart. Her words filled me with such positive energy and with hope.  She said that she made some new friends. I am not a jealous person but I do wish to be beside her.
I marked this day, 21 November 1989. I start to write a reply to her letter to let her know that I received it.
Dear Bev,
I received the letter and I am glad that you and your grandmother are fine. I miss you too and I love you unconditionally. I am happy that you made some friends there.
We, the losers are doing great but we miss you. I think I miss you the most but I have already told you that.
I can't wait to see what your surprise is. I don't know what I could write to you. I will tell you more when I will see you again, my love.
                                              Love, Bill
