REVENGE

"I think your dad now hates me after yesterday," Rain tells Ben over the phone whilst she sits outside in the garden of Evie's castle, a piece of Jane's birthday cake sat on her knees.

"Eh, who cares. It's not like he's going to get me to break up with you,"

"Oh, I wouldn't put it past him," Ben laughs and Rain can tell one of his advisers has just told him something.

"Look, I've got to go. See you at the party?"

"You won't miss me, Evie's got me wearing a dress,"

"Oh, can't wait to see that,"

"It's not that I don't like dresses," Rain groans but then remembers something "You're not wearing that god-awful striped t-shirt?" she gets no response "Ben! You know how stupid we'll look stood next to each other! Scrap that! You'll just look stupid"

"I'm not changing just because you hate it," he laughs

"You say that now, but when I refuse to stand by you, you'll regret it,"

"I'm sure I will, look I've really got to go, love you,"

"Love you too," Rain hangs up and sighs before slowly getting up and walking over to Dizzy, Lizzie and Celia who also stole some of Jane's cake. Rain passes Lizzie her plate with half of the slice still on it.

"Oh god, has Auradon made you eat less?" Rain laughs and shakes her head fondly at the girl before walking back inside, she had to talk to Mal about what she said at the meeting.

"Mal!" Rain shouts as she quickly shuts the door to the castle behind her "We need to have a little chat," Mal sighs as Rain walks over and places her present bag next to hers. Rain goes to start the conversation, but she sees a blur of pink smoke in the corner of her eye.

"I was hoping you were home," Audrey's voice rings out and Rain steps in front of Mal to see her properly

"Are you actually kidding me," Rain laughs slightly "What are you doing with the crown and the sceptre? More importantly, loving the hair," She may be about to turn evil on me, but her hair is awesome.

"Well, I wanted them, so I took them. And you, of all people should understand that, Rain," She goes to do some weird freaky magic thing with the sceptre and Mal steps forward.

"Wait, Audrey, stop! Don't use that,"

"I thought you two liked spells,"

"Oh, so that's what this is about," Rain realises rather bitterly

"Quiet!"

" It's not a toy. It's dangerous!" Mal warns her

"I want to be dangerous! My life was perfect until you stole it," She gets very close the Rain then walks down the path "And then Auradon turned its back on me. Well, it's time for a little payback,"

"Audrey, wait!" Rain shouts but she spins around dramatically

"You think Ben will love you now, your old hag? You'll pay the price of what you did and so will all of Auradon!" she sends a bright pink light towards Rain, but Mal jumps in front of her while the others run out "So long, suckers!" Audrey disappears and Rain steps away from Mal, who was now very old looking.

"Whoa! You might wanna think of a spell for that!" Jay exclaims when he sees her

"There's no spell that can reverse the curse of the sceptre," Mal's voice is horrible and croaky, Carlos senses Rain's discomfort and tries not to smirk.

"Well, that's a shame," he mutters, but looks at Rain and Jay and they share an uneasy look.

"Forget about me," Mal waves her hand slightly

"Audrey's out for revenge. And all of Auradon is in danger," Rain explains

"What should we do?" Evie asks whilst trying to keep Mal standing up

"The only thing more powerful than the sceptre is Hades' ember,"

"Oh! Like he's just gonna hand it over," Rain nods her head agreeing with what Jay said.

"And no one knows where his lair is," Evie sighs

"I do. I'm his errand rat. I've got the key at my dad's," Celia pipes up

"You're coming," Mal points to her

"But I just got here,"

"Mal?" Dizzy questions - her and Lizzie standing at the doorway

"Dizzy, Lizzie, stay here to take care of the twins. We'll be right back and everything will be just fine," Rain reassures them

"Go inside," Evie tells them before turning to Rain, Jay and Carlos "Guys, go get your stuff," Rain didn't know if she also meant her, but she leaves as well, wanting to stay far away from scary old Mal.

The group rides through the forest on their bikes Celia on the back of Rain's.

They get to a familiar clearing and Rain takes off her goggles to cast the spell she used before to escape Auradon during her not so mid-life crisis "Noble steed, proud and fair, you shall take us anywhere," Rain's eyes stop glowing as he puts her goggles back on and rides off, the others following.
