Chapter 13

A kiss is a secret told to the mouth instead of the ear; kisses are the messengers of love and tenderness. It could be for expression of affection.

He was still looking and staring at the rain, I was about to kiss his cheek when he turned his head slightly towards me. It give me a shock because our lips touched each other to my surprise. I could see that he was shocked too. I pulled away and said" Sorry" and looked away. Well this is awkward.

A heavy silence settled over us, thicker then the uneasy tension in the atmosphere. Unsettled eyes glanced unceremoniously around and tried to avoid catching a glances with each other.

I could feel my heart beat fast every single pound in my chest. It was pounding so fast.

My cheeks are suddenly  red like a spring rose, the blooming colour so cute against my plae skin. I looks away from Chen and finds a distraction , looking up at the grey sky. Chen hangs back, allowing me time to compose myself, fighting back the smile that wants to break out. What happens next he's going to want to remember for a long time, so while his gaze is soft he doesn't drop his eyes towards me for a moment.

We were still waiting for the rain to stopped. But I doubt it will stopped anytime soon.

He cubbed my face that was already rosy red.We stared at each other in an odd way, as if it were a silent argument.

"Why did you do it?" he said to me looking into my eyes.

"Umm... The thing is... I-" I said with words that were tremble but did not finished my sentence because next thing I knew he has slammed his lips to mine innocently and gently.

The kiss was quick. But it felt like the world slowed down just us two.

He pulled away from the kiss and said "It's payback". I just there puzzled of his sudden action.

Flashback

I was still in middle school, this was the day after I met chen. As I walked  to school casually, I saw Yi Soo and Eun Ji at front so I straight away move to them but, he was there just as I was about to be with them. Yes Chen was there.

"Hello" Eun Ji said to him happily.

"Hi back at you" Chen said while waving his hand.

"Hi Chen" Yi Soo said with a quiet voice. Is she shy.

I went to them by saying "What's up guys... and you must be Chen right... I am Soo Mi" And offering him a handshake. He shaked my hand back and said "Nice to meet you Soo Mi I'm Kim Jongdae called... me Chen" with a smile on his face.

"OK then I called you Jongdae" I said teasing him.

"Wait no called me Chen" He replied to me.

"Why would I" I replied back.

Eun Ji made a fake cough to get me and Chen attention.

"Well... If you guys finished flirting... We are late for class" she said to us.

"We were not flirting" Me and Chen said at the same time.

But I was... I said to myself and giggled.

Few months after, us four became the best of friends, me, Eun Ji, Chen and Yi Soo.

But as we became friends I saw a side of me that I was not proud of being and that is  jealousy .

Jealousy is nothing but a name to feeling that someone is better then you. Jealousy is like a wave. It comes and go. You will feel angry and envy.

That day at the school laboratory. We were in science class doing our experiments.

The teacher divided us into groups. I was paired up with Eun Ji. I am fine with it being her partner but I kept looking at Chen and Yi Soo.

I look at the sky that was once grey became blue again. With The clouds are puffs of white magic in acres of blue. They are the brilliance of a new page upon a sky canvas of such consistent hue.

Then I looked at him, Chen and he looked at me back. "Why did you kiss me?" I asked him still puzzled from his actions and my face turned kiss pink.

"Just cause" He replied to me with a cheeky smirk of his.

"Answer me right now" I demanded with a loud voice.

"Just cause" He kept saying those words.

I think is to teased me or annoyed me. Well it works.

"Why are you always saying... just cause when... you don't want to answer the question I tell you" I said to him still annoyed by him.

For some reason it irritating to my ears and annoyed me. Then I remembered of the text we had the other day. It is the same thing he kept on saying "Just cause" and I got annoyed. Why is he like this in real life too not just on the phone.

He paused for a second. I think he was thinking or something. I can not quite understand what he is doing right now.

"Just cause" He repeated the same thing again. But this time he grabbed my hand and dragged me and he gave me a bright smile.

"Let's go Soo Mi... I walked you home" he said sweetly while grabbing my hands. His warmth of his hands felt gentle so, I just let him.

"Idiot.... OK fine" I said loudly to him and he just turned his head around to face me when I said that and turn his head again to continue walking. What was he thinking just now?
