It wasn't a day anybody had seen coming and neither would it be one they could all quickly forget. The sounds of people running around only emphasized how quiet they all were while waiting for answers to their questions. The door that was seconds closed opened by the doctor everyone was expecting to open it at some point. Jungkook's parents talked to the doctor. No one knew if the news were good or bad considering Jungkook's mom was crying regardless. The only noise that seemed to break the otherwise quiet speaking was the entrance of Jimin and Taehyung. Jimin was enraged. As was Taehyung but unlike Jimin's anger, Taehyung hurried towards Joy's crying form and held her—though at first she rejected his comfort. Namjoon sprang from his seat beside Seokjin, knowing exactly as to where Jimin was headed. Both Hoseok and Yoongi had been discussing something—belatedly noticing the enraged Jimin. Namjoon didn't get there on time when Jimin had thrown a punch at Mingyu's face.
Mingyu had been sitting far from the group. He wasn't speaking but his face spelled out guilt. When the accident took place, Namjoon wasn't sure on how to react. All he knew was that he dropped what he was doing and hurried to call an ambulance while watching over Jungkook and then proceeded to call his parents. Seokjin had been at Jungkook's side once it was safe, doing his best not to touch him. Yoongi, Hoseok, and Joy only came later once Jungkook was already in for surgery due to a collapsed lung and broken ribs. He saw everything and yet could not bring himself to talk to Mingyu, the culprit of it all. He didn't have all the details but from across the street he could see the heated argument that Jungkook and Mingyu were in. One second everything was fine and the next Jungkook was hit by a car.
Jimin was stopped from hitting Mingyu again by Namjoon and Hoseok. Namjoon was telling him to calm down as Jungkook's parents ran to take control of Jimin's anger.
"Why should I be calm, he almost killed him!" yelled Jimin as he thrashed around with Hoseok and Yoongi having to wrap their arms around Jimin's. "You always picked on Jungkook! Why couldn't you just leave him alone? He never did anything to you and now he may even die because of you!"
There was exaggeration on Jimin's part considering they weren't sure if Jungkook was in such grave danger. But Jimin was angry as was Namjoon, he only held it in and occasionally sent glares to Mingyu who had yet explained himself. Mingyu sat there, touching the sore spot by his lip that Jimin managed to hit and split the skin of. Even if he did look guilty, it did not change the fact that Jimin was correct about him always having picked on Jungkook.
"Look, you're right Jimin but you need to calm down. You don't want to be charged for assault. But I would like to hear your side of the story Mingyu, considering the police did not take you in after what I witnessed." Namjoon spoke in a soft voice but his words came out menacing that countered his kind actions.
"Mr. and Mrs. Jeon, you are cleared to go in and see your son. The surgery went well. He should be recovering well. We won't know the full damage of his injuries until he wakes up."
