| ❀ Where Are You? ❀|
Could words be formed to explain how she felt? If she was more aware on what flurry of emotions she was going through, the answer was yes. Yet, there she was not sure on how she should be reacting. Four days ago, things went from normal to strange and as the days passed they somehow morphed from strange to horrid. Yerim stood looking at her school and wondered why there were so many police officers in the premise. Had someone brought a weapon to school? She shook that thought away and walked forward, trying to think of a reason for their appearance at her school entrance. Her thoughts of course led back to what she experienced four days ago.
It was the last time she had heard of or seen JK. She could visibly recall his back from when he ran from her. Her initial thought had been to run after him. Her body had jerked forward but finally her brain processed exactly what had happened and all she could do was stand there with her fingers to her lips, looking like a fool to the direction JK had gone. All of it had been like a sort of dream that she once had had when she was younger. Albeit she was a lot more disgusted the moment she woke up than having experienced the said dream in real-life. If she was completely honest with herself, had it not been so out of the blue and unexpected she would have labeled it as pleasant.
The day had to go on, so her thoughts were not left lingering on the incident. Of course, that was a complete and utter lie. Every little thing would lead to thoughts of what had happened. Someone would just jingle their keys and she would stop mid-work and try to comprehend the odd palpitating of her heart. The sudden pauses or unconscious fingers to her lips when she saw a couple kiss let everyone at work know that something had happened with her actions. Taeyong was the first to pick up on what he had deemed as her "aloof" behavior. Joy soon followed later, Taehyung not knowing anything as we went about his own business in a happy demeanor, she could not help but notice.
But that was that and she promised to forget because it was a lapse of judgement from JK's behalf. Since then things had gotten relatively quiet for her. No JK in sight, with no JK it meant no Mingyu. Even SinB had seemed to make herself scarce. It wasn't something she was crying about and neither was Mark. She could recall the day after when he sat by her during lunch, looking around to see if SinB would pop up. When she didn't, he finally let loose and exhaled. Had she known SinB's presence bothered him so much, she would have told him that he didn't have to sit by her.
Today wasn't going to be a normal day and she could tell. Not that the cops meant anything (it did, it meant a lot in shaping exactly how her day would pan out). Classes went okay, except BamBam was late to their first lesson. No one paid much mind to it but she could tell he was a bit antsy when he sat and shook his leg. They made eye contact, he eased a smile but didn't face her for the rest of the lesson on that day.
When lunch finally came, Mark didn't seem to be any different. Instead he was talking about a dance competition he and his friends wanted to enter when Jaehyun came in a hurry to their table. He sat down and looked around before beckoning them to come closer. Yerim did and Mark merely looked at him weird. Jaehyun had to pull his head forward for him to hear what it was he wanted to say.
