It was a day of marching before we heard anything from Eacho again.

"Bellamy, come in if you can hear me." She was speaking in Trig, something that we usually didn't do unless we needed to talk in secret.

Bell grabbed the radio from his back pocket, raising it up to his mouth to speak as he walked off to the side so none of Wonkru could hear. Monty, Harper and I followed.

"Echo..." he began, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Wait, she's speaking in Trig for a reason," I pointed out.

"Why are we speaking Trig?" he asked, "What's wrong?"

Echo went on to explain our situation. "They know you're coming. You lost the element of surprise.

"They know we're coming?" Harper voiced aloud.

"Clarke?" I questioned. She knew the plan and had left in with Madi in a rover, she definitely could have got there by now.

"It had to be," Bell raised the radio back to his mouth, "Echo, listen to me-"

I cut him off, "Bellamy, if Clarke's on their side she speaks Trig too."

Monty shook his head, adjusting the gun he held in his hands.

"Bellamy, you have to go back. We have their Pilot, so you're safe for now but you can't come here." They have the prisoners pilot? How did they do that? Wait, what's even going on over there?

"Not possible," Bell responded, "It's a long story but we can't go back and we can't stop. We're five days out. You have that long to find us a safe way in. After that...we run out of rations."

A pit was growing in my stomach the size of a black hole. It was quiet on the other side of the line for a moment before Echo responded in English.

"We're on it. Be safe. Over and out."

Bellamy sighed and let his arm fall to his side.

"So what do we do now?" I asked gripping the strap of my bag.

"Now we try to talk some sense into the Red Queen."

Harper shook her head. "We tried that remember, it ended with all her people being forced to march into a war or die. She's not exactly the easiest person to convince."

"I guess we just have to be a little more persuasive."

We continued on our march, Bellamy had made his way over to Indra to inform her of our problem to try and get her to help get Octavia to listen for once.

I had lost track of time when, to my surprise, Caleb of all people fell into my step. It was a little weird because he was supposed to be at the front of the group, being Octavia's second in command. If anything were to happen to her, the army would look to him for instructions.

There was nothing but an awkward silence between the two of us for a moment until he finally broke the ice with a simple"Hey." I kept my eyes forward, acting as he wasn't even there. "Ari, please, talk to me."

It wasn't enough he had to break my heart and now just being around me was a constant reminder of everything he let happen to me.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

"I'm sorry-"

"Sorry for what?!" I stopped in my tracks, turning my body to fully face him. All the anger that I had been building up finally poured out of me, "Really Caleb, what are you sorry for? Breaking up with me, lying to me, refusing to help stop the war, taking Octavias side, allowing Octavia to arrest me, getting me almost killed? Do I need to say more?" He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. "Exactly. Look I don't want to talk to you. I don't even want to see your face ever again. I hate you."
