"This is the most spine-chilling Haunted House I've ever been through!" Kerry clutched Guy's hand, thrilled about being properly scared.
"It's totally awesome!"
Kerry screamed when a zombie's hand landed on her shoulder and shuffled after her with nightmarish lifelikeness.
Guy laughed and pulled her away. "Relax, babe!"
She looked hard at the retreating zombie. "Wait, it looks familiar... and now I think of it, that vampire in the last room..."
Kerry quickly pulled her sunglasses from her bag's side pocket and whipped them on. She dug in her bag for an extra pair but "Guy, you better-" was all she managed before she froze as ominous music played and phantasmal lights swooped through the room then sped up into hypnotic pulses.
Guy froze in place, mesmerised. Kerry stilled, alertly watching.
The door opened and two Frankenstein monsters entered. "Call Jack to get rid of the guy. The chick is a perfect Frankenstein's bride though. We can use her over in Stockport."
"Let's keep the guy until my porch extension is done. He looks strong."
Monster One handed the other a syringe. "Alright. Here, stick him."
Kerry pulled her arm from her bag and sprayed the first would-be abductor with pepper spray then tasered the second, before pulling out her second taser to drop the first one too.
She waved a hand in front of Guy's blank eyes as she dialled the station.
"Chief, Detective Silver, here. I've located some missing people." She toed the syringes away from the grim men twitching on the floor. "Situation's under control. Backup requested."
