They took Maddie to the hospital where her body was sent to the morgue. Buck waited in the emergency room where he felt like he was gonna pass out. He was having a terrible day. I mean it was a nightmare. Soon Bobby came running into the hospital followed by the rest of the 118 team. Bobby went and sat himself in front of Buck. "Buck, I am so sorry. There's nothing I can say to make the pain you're feeling go away tight now, but just know that we are here for you, not just as a team, but as your family." Buck looked at his team, and couldn't help as tears came falling down his cheek, and sobs started to come from him. Buck's team all gave him one big hug. It was supposed to feel nice and comforting, but Buck felt nothing. He knew his team would be there for him, but he didn't feel any better at the thought.
"They wanted to get her cleaned up, and then they want me to go identify her. I can't do that alone." Buck cried. Chimney, who was in love with Maddie, had tears falling down his cheeks as he took Buck's hand, and said, "we can do that together." He knew Buck was in a vulnerable spot right now, and he had to be strong even if that meant volunteering to go see the dead, lifeless body of the love of his life.
The team all went down there together, and as soon as Buck was the body he ran out with Eddie following him. The rest of the team stayed to tell the Diener that it was Maddie.
Eddie has finally caught up to Buck. "Hey Buck, if you ever need to talk to someone, I'm always here. I know how hard a loss like this is."
"Thank you. I'm just gonna go home and shower so I can get cleaned up." Buck said motioning toward his bloodstained hands and uniform. As Buck took his clothes off, he felt his heart shatter more. He was in his uniform today. He's supposed to be able to take his uniform off and let go of whoever it is he lost today, but today is different. Today he lost someone so very dear to his heart, his sister. This is something he can't just let go of. This is something that's gonna take years to heal, if it even can heal.
As he turned the shower on, and the water hit his skin. He felt like a tsunami was hitting him. He had gotten used to the feeling of remembering what it felt like when the tsunami hit, but this time it was harder. This time he aches all over, and he felt his breath being smacked out of his body. He quickly got out and fell to the ground with nothing, but a towel over him, as flashbacks of everything came flashing through his mind. Losing his first love. Failing in the army. The bomb on that ladder truck going off. Being crushed under the ladder truck. The tsunami. Christopher going missing. And losing Maddie. The flashes came in the order that they had happened. Buck's life sucked, and all he wanted in that single moment was for everything to stop.
A/N "What?!? 2 updates in one night?!?!" Is what every single one of you is thinking at the moment.
I figured since the writers never really gave us a backstory of Buck rather than him wanting to be a Nave Seal but couldn't, that I'd give him a backstory! 😈
Anywho, I hoped you've enjoyed the two new updates, and they made you smile (even the littlest) please vote and comment!!
