On the Job

Lucy's POV

I woke up with the sun hitting my face. The warmth felt wonderful, but it was soon cut short to the sound of snoring from a certain rosy pink spiked hair Mage.

"NATSU GET OUT OF MY ROOM," I squealed kicking him off my bed.

"Ouch, Lucy what was that for," he complained while rubbing his head

"It amazes me sometimes how dumb you really are." I replied in a smart remark.I could hear him pouting. I swear he acts like a child sometimes.

"Well Lucy I will meet you at the train station. I'm going to go get happy before he eats all the food. See yah later ." He smiles and leaves through the window.

I look at the time to see it is 7, I have 2 hours until I have to meet Natsu and the others at the train station.

I bathed and put on my usual attire. I put my hair in a high pony tail with bangs hanging over my face. I went out to Magnolia square, I wanted to roam the city a little before I went to the station.

(Time laps 2 hours)

"Hurry up Lucy, the train is about to leave," Gray stated while helping Erza put her luggage in the train.

"Where's Natsu," Erza stated while crossing her arms over her armor.
I can see Natsu running to us with Happy flying to his right.

"Do we have to go on the train, we could just walk," Natsu suggested while covering his mouth with his hand. How is it he can be getting sick and we haven't even boarded the train yet.

"It's a 3 hour ride, it would take almost a day to walk there," I stated
He pouted and got one the train. Happy, Erza and Gray sat on one side, Natsu and I sat on the other. As soon as the train started moving his face turned green and his head rested in my lap.

Soon after that he pasted out. I stared at him, he looked so cute when he's sleeping. Wait did you just say he was cute? Come on I can't possibly think Natsu is attractive out of all people. Plus he's a pervert always sneaking into my bed. Leaving me to find his big muscular arms around me. WAIT what am thinking.

"Lucy why are you staring at Natsu like that. Is it because you liiikkkkkeee hhiiimmm?" Happy said mockingly. I swear that cat is so annoying

"Shut it cat," I remarked back.
Soon after the incident with Happy I soon fell asleep.

(Time laps 3 hours)

Natsu's POV

As soon as the train stopped I jumped off of it. Kissing the ground since I was off of the train. Huh I'm never going on another train ever again.

We arrived at the requesters house. He briefed us on the job. Which I already know we have to find a rare plant, so I didn't pay too much attention to what he was saying. We started heading into the forest. I'm fired up just thinking about the monsters that lurk in there.

"Alright, we will start our search east of the forest," Ezra stated pointing east.

After all day searching for a rare plant we stopped for the night to set up camp.

"I brought some fire wood, Natsu would yu mind," Lucy said setting the wood on the ground. I set the wood on fire shortly after.

One by one everyone started drifting off to sleep. I waited until everyone was asleep to wake Lucy up, to show her the top of the mountain.

"Lucy... Lucy wake up," I whispered trying not to wake up Erza. Just the thought of that gave me chills.

"What do you want I'm trying to sleep," she barked.

"Come on I want to show you something," I held out my hand urging her to grab it. I pulled her up and we started walking up the hill.

"Where are we going," she questioned

"It's a surprise, so I can't tell you," I smiled. I quickly put my hands over her eyes since we were so close to the top. Once we got to the top I removed my hands.

She gasped at the sight of how close the stars were to us.

"Natsu where did you find this place?" She asked still amazed at the view.

"It was a long time ago, when I was on one of my jobs, I couldn't sleep so I wondered around and found this place. I haven't shown anyone this place, except for you." I said still looking at her.

She turned to me and hugged me.

"Thank you Natsu for showing me this amazing place," she replied.
I ended up looking into her brown eyes. The sparkle in her eyes couldn't compare to the sight of the stars around us. We sat down, just gazing at the stars.

A few moments later we got up and headed back to the camp. Lucy couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the stars were, and that she was grateful I showed her that place. Once we returned to the camp she said goodnight. I laid there thinking about Lucy and how beautiful she was. Then I drifted to sleep.
