Meanwhile, the villagers were having a festival in celebration of Chloe, as the order of the mayor. The said girl was sitting on a throne that was in her colors, yellow, black and white, with matching decoration around it. Sabrina, her best friend, was by her side. While she was given gifts and waited on, she could not help but ponder on Marc earlier. How could anyone say no to her? Especially since he is the most beautiful boy in the village, which makes him the best, and doesn't she deserve the best?

"Come on, Chloe," Sabrina urged her best friend. "This is a festival for you, the least you could do is to have some fun."

Chloe seemed disheartened as she spat, "huh, what's the point of celebrating when a boy does not want to be my husband?"

"Oh poor Chloe," Sabrina sighed sympathetically. "It sure hurts me to see you like, looking so down in the dumps. Anyone here would be lucky to have you as their wife, and do you know why?"

Chloe suddenly looked interested. She stopped sulking and looked up at Sabrina, which encouraged the girl with glasses to continue.

"No one as swift as Chloe," she cheered. "Has wits like Chloe's. Nobody's as stylish as Chloe Bourgeois."

Chloe soon joined her, "As a specimen, yes, I'm excellent."

"My what a girl, Chloe Bourgeois!" They finished in unison.

All of a sudden, someone came rushing towards them on a horse. They soon stopped to catch their breath and removed their hood to reveal it was Marinette. She was covered in bruises from trying to find her way back to the village, and she seemed panicked and anxious.

"Help," she pleaded desperately. "Please help me! He imprisoned him!"

Someone from the crowd asked, "Who imprisoned who?"

"It's Marc!" Marinette replied. "An Akuma called Evillustrator captured me, and now he's got Marc as his prisoner!"

Everyone stared at the poor girl and... Began laughing. Chloe and Sabrina were among them, commenting on how utterly ridiculous the story was. Marinette wanted to protest, but she felt weak. Tikki could tell her owner and friend was feeling unwell, it took her back home so she could rest. Just then, Chloe stopped laughing. She had an idea that would get Marc to marry her. She pulled Sabrina close, making the latter yelp in shock.

She whispered to her, "Marinette's story may be utterly ridiculous, but maybe we could use it to our advantage. Then Anciel will mine, all mine."
