Amara
We said goodbye with a lengthy, lingering kiss as we made our way back to campus, with Lucien reassuring me that it was just to keep him intact till later. I wanted to kiss him a while ago, and I was also going to miss him, so I had to pull him in for a few more kisses. My unexpected neediness made him laugh.
"I'm really grateful for you, Lu. "You're so flawless, in every aspect," I admitted, giving him another kiss.
He looked at me, pressing his forehead against mine, and replied, "I'm not, yet you constantly remind me.""Because you are and always will be my perfect person," I muttered as I peered through my lashes into his eyes.
"Oh, the things you do to me Amara."
Before parting ways and making our way to our dorms, we gave each other one last passionate kiss. When I saw Syl there already, I silently thanked God, and she instructed me to go find something to wear.My hands were hurting, and I was tired halfway through the exercise.
"This is pointless, Syl," I hissed as I tossed the clothing to the side.
"You're just picky," she said, and I waved her away.
"I think I found your dresses to choose from." In her left hand held a royal blue silky V collar long sleeve pleuche slim bodycon dress and in the other was a red, Manhattan slip, lace up back, accented with gold eyelets, twin knee high leg splits and thin strapping accentuating the square flattering neckline.
"Never would I have imagined you owning sexy, panty ripping dresses," she gushed. "Which will it be Mara?"
"He said elegant so.... the one on the right," I say finally, and she nodded.
"Shoes?"
"My only pair of hot suede platform heels," I chuckled dryly.
"Good," she clapped her hands together and went over to her bed. "I'll be back in an hour. You know, I have to go buy a dress."
I scrunched my eyebrows. "Girl, you have tonssss of dresses," I emphasised.
"You don't know what I'll catch," she winked and walks out the door.
"Wear the mosquito net!" I yelled.

"I don't know.... don't you think it's a little too much?" I enquired, weaving the hem of my dress between my fingers while sitting anxiously in the front seat of Syl's company car.
"Nothing is ever in excess," she winked following her response. "Besides, I think those tubes are good accessories."I observed her clothes and was struck by how wonderfully she was dressed; the long, gold satin dress with a thigh-high slit and an asymmetrical strapless V neckline complemented every inch of her beauty.
But who am I to feel uncomfortable in my own skin? I looked amazing. Simply put, I thought my attire was excessive for the situation.
Leaning back in my seat, I let out a sigh and relaxed my stiff shoulders. My anxious state was further exacerbated by the lengthy drive; I found myself second-guessing the circumstances with every minute that went by.
"Do you even know what the occasion is?""Every month, Lucien's father organises a ballroom charity event with the goal of improving the futures of the kids living on the streets or in St. Ann's Safe Care facility. It's a custom they usually adhere to. Mr. King owns numerous companies with locations around the United States, the Caribbean, and several European nations."
She addressed the situation as if it was not a huge deal. It completely blew my mind. Another reason why Lucien's father never has time for his own son. Why does his mother still have to fend for herself if they were so wealthy?"Now I feel underdressed," I chuckled nervously and sank in my seat.
After scoffing at my lack of confidence, she came to the street Lucien had informed us the event was held. In less than ten seconds, we arrived at the only property in which cars had strewn all over the driveway and also occupied three-quarters of the sideway.
