I decided to leave Luke's, after our conversation. As I was leaving I turned on my phone. I had a voicemail from Ashton.
Hey Becca, it's Ashton, I was wondering if you were doing anything on Saturday. If not I was hoping we could go on a date. Um yeah call me back, bye.
My mouth fell open in shock and I stopped in my footsteps.
I thought I was confused before Ashton asked me out. I couldn't just not call Ashton back. I have to figure out what I'm going to do.
While I was still debating on going out with Ashton, I forgot I was standing in Luke's driveway.
"Did you forget something?"he said from behind me.
I yelped in surprise.
"You scared me."
"Sorry, I thought you changed your mind about us,"he said, his voice trailing off at the end.
"Luke, I-"
"No, it's fine. Bye Becca."
I looked at him sadly.
"Bye, Luke."
