Yami's eyes narrow slightly as he's posture turned defensive.
Yugi looks at his brother and frowns. “He’s right. I smell a lot of guards.” Yugi sniffs and whimpers as he rubs his nose. “Gah! And they got wolves with them!”
As if on cue the hungry howls over wolves were heard. “Find that bloody naga and capture it. Anyone found harboring a naga will be put to death!” The captain yells.
Yami's eyes narrowed as his anger flared up. He disappeared only to reappear looking different. He looked more dark and dangerous.
“Yami we have to go.” Yugi said quickly. “We don’t have time to fight any guards or the magic.”
“They will catch us if we try to leave without a distraction. So I'll be the bait. It will throw them off our trail…”
Yugi shakes his head. “No Yami. The last thing they need is to know you’re here.” Yugi said as he looked out the window.
“Oh trust me Kitten they won't touch me. Besides...I made a promise...and I intend to keep it. Now go. I'll distract them.”
Yugi looks at Yami confused before they all head out the back.
“Hey you tin pants wearing cowards! You looking for me?” Yami taunts as his eyes flashed.
Heba raised an eyebrow. “Damn….he's one cocky son of a bitch….I think I like this side of him.”
Yugi rolls his eyes at his brother as he ran into the dark forest. “He’s different.” Yugi said simply.
As the guards shot arrows Yami's shadows caught them and threw them back hitting the guards in the knees shins and ankles to slow them down. Yami teleports away from the injured guards and appears flying alongside Yugi as he snickers.
“That was fun...oh shit hang on!” He grabbed Yugi as his shadows cover their group and teleports them to the safety of the other side of the forest away from the guards.
Ami was holding Atemu as the group's feet touch the ground. Yami's shadow wings fold over as he hovered in the air Yugi still in his arms.
“Fuck that was close…..you ok My Little Kitten?”
Yugi opens his eyes and looks shocked at Yami’s form. “Y-Yeah...wait..did you just say ‘My Little Kitten’?” Yugi asks.
Before Yami can respond to his eyes flash as he returns to normal as he lets go of Yugi and collapsed slightly exhausted.“What…happened?...Last thing I remember was we were running from the guards…”
Yugi bites his lip. “We got away. We’re in Pineshear forest again.” Yugi said. Yami nods as he rubbed his head. “Ugh...crap my head hurts.” Yugi places his hand on Yami’s head and sighs. His hand glowed and Yami’s headache left.
Yami smiled as he looked at Yugi. “Thanks Kitten.” Yugi smiles weakly and got up slowly to his feet. “Does anyone know where in the forest we are?” He asks as he leans on a tree.
Yami's eyes widened as he restarted a hand on Yugi's shoulder. “Are you ok?”
Yugi nods his head. “Yeah. I’m not very good with healing spells so they take a toll on me. I’ll be fine in a few minutes.” Yugi smiles.
Dylan looks around. “But Yugi’s right. What part are we in of the forest?” She asks as she looks around. Yugi sniffs around to try and find their location.
Ami and Ryou look around. “Do you smell saltwater? I think we are near a sea or something…..”
Yugi sniffs. “Yeah….I think we’re by Bloodlust Cove.”
