Yugi’s ears twitched and he stopped on a branch. “Wait...I heard something.” Yugi said softly. 

Ami's eyes narrow slightly as he goes tense. “It's the bastard…..” “And where in the name of Ra are you two going?” Dartz demands with several demon soldiers behind him. 

Yugi gulps and lays low. “...Father….” Yugi whispers. “We’re traveling. Isn’t it what we always do together?” Yugi said. 

“Oh really? Then why do you have the map of the seven items?”

Yugi shrugs. “I just want to see if they exist. You know my curiosity.” Yugi said as he hoped down by Ami. 

“I forbid you to have anything to do with those silly stories. It's time you learn to grow up.”

Yugi’s eyes narrowed. “They aren’t silly! I am grown up. More than you will ever be.” Yugi shot back. 

Suddenly a sharp dagger flew in Yugi's direction. Thankfully Ami caught it early and threw the dagger away.

Yugi smiled thankful at Ami before looking at his father. “How dare you?!” Yugi yelled. 

“Don't forget your place. And if it had been up to me your mother would still be alive. You killed her the day you were fucking born you little twerp.”

Yugi looks at the ground and balled his fist. The wind grew harder as the trees started to shake. “I do know my place father. I’ve known it the day you killed Solomon.” 

Dartz smirks as he turned around. “Good. Now you will not go after this silly myth. I have to go, those filthy humans need to be dealt with before they do what that one human tried. To think humans and mystical beings could ever live peacefully….”

Yugi looks up at his father. “No.” Yugi takes a deep breath. 

Dartz leopard ears tense and his fur raised. “Do not provoke me. You’re a weak kitten and I'm a power jungle cat. Dare you challenge me?!” He hissed.

“I am Yugi Motou. The Prince of Light. The god of Happiness and Curiously. The future king.” Yugi said. “I am not weak.” 

Dartz smirks as he walked away. ‘You won't be if I have any say. You little brat I already have a new heir planned in your place.’

Yugi touched the trees softly and they started moving around Dartz and the soldiers. 

Ami snickers as the king and the soldiers try to escape onlf for the trees to tickle them relentlessly.

“Let's go. Your trees have bought us some time.”

Yugi nods his head. He grabbed the dagger that was thrown at him before hopping back into the trees. 

Several hours later they were rested by a fire. Yugi was looking at his new dagger. Ami blinks and smirks. “I can smell my darling Atemu….and he's with two of his group.”

Yugi looks at Ami shocked. “What?” Ami's smirk turned into a frown. “They must have followed us..”

Yugi ears twitched. “I hear and smell them.” Yugi said  looked into the bushes the group was in. “Come on. It’s going to get cold.” 

Atemu and Dylan come out first with Yami following. Yugi then noticed Yami hold something. Yugi blinks and looks at the weapons. “What is that?”

Yami looked down. “It’s just my silver pistols. They are designed to shoot all types of bullets and darts. I don’t like to use them for killing but the only thing I've ever had to kill was a rabid dog who tried to bite Dylan.”
