Chapter 14 (Bow of loyalty)

The group slept all day and as night began to fall Yugi woke up alone in bed. He noticed Yami was at the window staring out still in his Naga form. He was quiet and didn't seem to notice Yugi was watching him.

Yugi blinks and walks over to Yami on all fours. He meows and tilted his head. 

Yami looked over and smirks as he held out a hand. “Did I wake you my Kitten?”

Yugi shakes his head and lightly licks Yami’s hand. Yami's eyes soften. He gently picked Yugi up. He stroked his ear as he held Yugi closer.

Yugi purrs and nuzzles Yami’s chest. “You know ...I was really scared I almost lost you again….”

Yugi meows and laid his head down. “I'm not sorry that I did what I did though. I may not be able to swim...but I would do anything to save you. You may not remember...but I do ...and I won't let anything happen to you. I lost you once...I refused to lose you again.”

Yugi tilts his head in confusion. “Meow.” Yugi said before purring loudly as Yami stroked a great spot. 

Yami smirks as he lifted Yugi to face him as their faces were mere inches apart. Yugi shivers lightly. “You are still as cute as always my pretty Kitten.”

Yami could see a tint of red in Yugi’s black fur where his cheeks would be. 

Yami smirks. “You’re so cute when you're embarrassed.” He teased as he lightly tapped Yugi's nose with a claw.

Yugi blinks and looks up at Yami. His body glows lightly so he was in his human form. Yami smirks as he smiled at Yugi. “You’re getting stronger each day. You make me so proud.”

Yugi blushes and looks away. “E-Everyone is getting stronger…” Yugi whispers. Yami's hand lightly cupped Yugi's chin as he lightly pulled Yugi back to face him.

Only the moonlight was shining on them. 

Yami's eyes were gentle as he and Yugi kept eye contact. There was an odd warmth that spread between them flowing like electricity.

Yugi places his hand on top of Yami’s own and smiles. Yami’s free hand came up as he cupped Yugi's face in his hands as the electricity. “Yugi..” Yami said softly as his eyes glow with an emotion Yugi didn't recognize.

Yugi’s eyes flickered to Yami’s lips and back to Yami’s eyes. “Yes?” He whispers. 

Yami didn't answer and he closed the distance. His lips touching Yugi's. An electric current shot through them as Yami's hand slid down and his arm wrapped around Yugi's waist.

Yugi places his hands on Yami’s chest as he kissed him back tenderly. Yami deepens the kiss as his tail and wings wrapped around them. 

Time seemed to slow until it stopped as the kiss lasted for a few minutes.

Yugi pulled away slowly and looked up at Yami shocked. “You...you…” Yugi whispers as he couldn’t get the words out. 

Yami gently cupped Yugi's cheek. The moment is then shattered as a loud knock is heard at the room's door. 

Yugi pulls away quickly. “Yes? Who is it?” 

“It's us little brother. It's almost night fall how are you and Yami?”

Yugi blushes. “We’re fine. Is everyone ready? We should leave soon.” Yugi said and walked over to the door. 

“Yeah, has Yami been able to change back?”
