The silence was deafening. Elena glared at Claira, "Mne nuzhno vyyti na minutku. I need to step out for a minute." She stood up and walked out the classroom, leaving Claira to sit alone.
"Well, class. Let's give Elena some time. Anyway, we were going to discuss signs from above, yes? Let's get started." Ms. Otrovesk looked at her crystal ball and sighed, she then looked at Claira and nodded. "Go." She stood up and ran out of the room.
Claira looked left, down a hallway and saw Elena at the end of it, sitting. "Elena!" Claira yelled, running up to her. "That vision. It was probably just, like, a dream or something." Elena was stood up, her eyes were red from tears.
"It wasn't a dream. It was real. The vision was clear, you're going to kill me." Elena's breath was ragged, she was frightened. "I thought you were my friend, I trusted you."
"I am your friend! That was ju-" Claira was stopped by Elena's wand. "You want to fight? Elena, this is not the way to solve things."
"Then don't kill me! Leave! Get away from me!" Elena's wand was pointing directly at Claira's chest. "Leave, or I will cast a spell."
"No! I'm not going anywhe-" "Volnus!" Yellow light blasted Claira back down the hall. Elena was shaking.
"I told you! Leave me alone! Or I'll kill you first!" Claira got back up, wand in hand.
"Elena, I don't want to do this to you! Don't fight me, plea-" "Accantus!" Red lightning struck Claira square in the chest, she doubled over and fell to the ground.
"Stop! Claira! I told you to leave! You're going to kill me!" Elena was shaking vigorously, her eyes were blood shot. "I'm sorry, Claira. But I have to, Debilitae!" Before the spell could leave the wand, the sound of footsteps echoed.
"Dearmo!" Green light flew at Elena and knocked her wand several feet from her. Elena turned around and saw Ms. Yakovla. The headmistress surveyed the battlefield, first looking at Elena, and then Claira.
"Chto ty delayesh?! Ty mog ubit yeye! What are you doing?! You could have killed her!" Elena's face was full of fear.
"She...was going to kill me first." She said between tears. "A vision. I had a vision that Claira was going to kill me." Elena was bawling, she was drenched in tears, her face was beet red. Ms. Yakovla looked worried.
Ms. Yakovla flicked her wand and Elena disappeared in white smoke. She then ran over to Claira. "Enner." Claira's eyes opened. She looked scared.
"Yakovla? What happened?" Claira sat up and rubbed her head, her blouse was torn.
"Honey, you'll be alright. Grab my hand." Ms. Yakovla held out her hand, and Claira took her hand.
All of a sudden, their surroundings looked distorted, quickly, the shapes and colors started to come together and it all looked black. Wind blew towards Claira and Ms. Yakovla as they spiraled into space.
After a minute of this, color started to come back. Suddenly, Claira fell onto the ground of a room. She could hear footsteps and opened her eyes. What she saw looked like a huge twenty-foot high ceiling, in the ceiling was a glass part that was shaped like a square in the very center.
Claira stood up and realized that, as soon as she saw Ms. Yakovla, it was her office. "Sit down."
The headmistress was sitting in a tan colored chair, behind her desk. She was organizing objects on her table. Papers were floating around in the air above her, putting themselves into folders and into drawers.
Claira sat down in front of her.. "So." Yakovla said, staring at Claira. "Why are you here?" Claira frowned.
"What do you mean? You practically forced me to come here." Ms. Yakovla smiled. "That's right, I forgot. I'm old now, my memory isn't as good as it once was. The vision." Claira nodded.
"Yea. Elena had a vision about me killing her. I don't understand it, I would never hurt her. Let alone, kill her." The headmistress nodded.
"It's not real." Claira's face completely changed. "What do you mean it's not real?" Ms. Yakovla smiled.
"When Elena was unconscious, and when I put her memories back, I added one. The Raliviate spell gives your memory back, but the caster can also inject memories into your brain as well. That's what I did."
"Why?" Claira asked, standing up. "Elena could've killed me!"
"Everyone has their reasons. I have mine."
