It rained today.
The heavens poured their tears upon us and I felt so very small
The water touched my skin and I soaked it in,
And now I feel it pool inside my lungs.
The stones in my stomach begin to weigh with it,
They pull my mood with their heaviness,
And I begin to think I'm running out of room for food.
My light is on,
I took my pills,
But you cannot stop the current.
I will not try to fight the storm,
The ocean's winter arms are home to me.
