Jim Hawkins sat on the roof, he was leaned up against a wall with a frown set upon his face. He held a couple of rocks in one hand and he tossed them on the lower part of the roof as thunder rumbled through the sky, lightning flashing through it causing it to light up the sky. He ran out of rocks to throw and leaned his head against the wall behind him as he stared out at the docks.

"I really don't know how you manage it, Sarah." Jim heard Delbert say causing him to look through the window and at his mother and Delbert. "While trying to raise a felon, fellow.....fellow like Jim."

Sarah turned to Delbert who was sitting at the same table as he was before, her hands carrying plates and bowels in her arms as she says tiredly to him.

"Managing it? I'm at the end of my rope, ever since his father left. Well... Jim's just never recovered."

Jim looked away from the window with a somber expression on his face as he looked down at his lap as his mother continued on talking to Delbert.

"And you know how smart he is! He built his first solar surfer when he was eight! And yet he's failing in school. He's constantly getting in trouble."

Jim's face slowly morphed into disappointment as he heard his mother talk as he frowned at the tiredness he heard in his mother's voice as she continued on.

"And when I talk to him he's like a stranger to me. I don't know Delbert! I've tried everything.."

Sarah's voice gets cut off when a ship flew by, engines sputtering loudly as it left a smoke trail behind it. Jim watched as the ship crashed into the docks, Jim slid down the rood and landed on the ground with a thud as he ran towards the dock to check on the person who crashed it.

"Hey, mister!" Jim called out as he ran up to the door and pounded on the glass as he called out once more. "Mister! You're okay in there right?!"

A clawed hand banged on the glass in return with a groan causing Jim to yell and jump back in shock. Jim stood a couple of feet away from the door and watched as the glass door opened, a salamander dressed in a blue cloak with a black hat fell out with a chest landing by his side.

"He's coming." He told Jim as he pulled Jim by his jacked and dragged him towards his face as he looked up to the sky. "Can ye hear 'em gears and gyros clickin' and whirrin' like the devil himself."

Jim leaned away from the salamander, he rubbed his temple as he questioned with concern. He watched as the salamander moved to go pick up his chest

"You hit your head pretty hard didn't ya?"

"He's after me chest, that fiendish cyborg and his band of cut-throats...." He groaned as he threw his chest on his shoulder as he walked towards Jim once more as he continues saying. "But they'll have to pry it from old Billy Bones cold dead fingers before I...."

He groaned and fell to the ground and his chest dropped right in front of him, Jim watched him in shock for a minute before moving slowly to help him.

"Come on give me your arm," Jim told him as the salamander known as Billy Bones does so willingly. Jim grunts as he lifts Billy Bones off the ground as he encouraged himself and the person beside him. "That's it." Jim then began helping Billy Bones back to the inn as he said sarcastically himself. "Mom's going to love this."

Thunder and lightning crashed through the sky as Jim took Billy Bones up the long driveway to the Benbow Inn.
