We Have an Expedition

"Annie Jones please come down the office. Annie Jones." The speakers said throughout the whole academy the next day.

Annie looked up at her professor for her to go and the professor nodded, she gave him a small smile as thank and picked up her book and ran out the door. She ran through the empty hallways and into the office, where she found Amelia and Arrow waiting for her. Annie's smile widened when she saw her two guardians and she immediately started bouncing on the balls of her feet as she eagerly asked.

"Did we get an expedition?"

"We have an expedition," Amelia confirmed causing the girl to squeal with excitement which made her smile.

Arrow leaned down to the girl's height and looked around making sure no one was listening in, making the girl giggle at how secret it was. He then whispered in her ear what the expedition was about.

"We're going to find Treasure Planet."

Arrow leaned up and both he and Amelia watched the excited and awed expression on Annie's face. Amelia smiled fondly at the young girl as she ordered her lightly

"Go get your to-go bag, we'll be heading to the Spaceport immediately."

Annie quickly nodded with the agreement as she bounded out of the office, she ran out of the school doors that were right next to the office and ran all the way to the girl's dorms. She weaved and dodged people on her way, her excitement never fading as she heard people call her rude names. Slamming open her dorm door she threw her books on her bed, grabbed her bag that was right on the dresser beside the open door and slung it on her shoulder.

Annie looked over her dark blue room that held posters of famous singers, maps and galaxies, and pictures on her wall. Her bed that was on the side of the wall, her glass terrace doors that had blue sparkly curtains, her room was somewhat messy and she knew she was going to miss it. After all, she did spend all of her life inside these Academy walls, besides going out on expeditions with her guardians she never really left the Academy. Letting out a small hum, she turned around and closed the door locking it behind her.

Annie walked out of the dorms and found that a carriage was already waiting for her, she went in only to find that she was alone beside the driver. Annie frowned in confusion as she questioned the man who owned the carriage.

"Do you know where my other companions are sir?"

"Oh, they said that they went on ahead and they'll meet you at a boat named the RLS Legacy." The man told her with a warm smile as he then looked forward and started driving.

Annie smiled softly to herself and looked around at the scenery. This is going to be an adventure that I will remember forever, she thought to herself aimlessly. She then thought about making new friends on the journey, she shouldn't only talk to Arrow and Amelia. Annie the said as it finally dawned on her.

"I'm finally going to find it."
