❝ CHAPTER TWENTY TWO: A TALK WITH JAEMIN ❞
___________________________________
❦
Jaemin woke up to a start from his nightmare. He never understood why he got nightmares since he was hurt the least out of all the members.
In a way, it made him feel guilty, He felt that he should have done more to help. Even Mark helped more than him, though he was beat even more than Jaemin was.
Jaemin looked around the room to see that everyone else was asleep. It had been a little over a week since their hyungs rescued them from Mr. Yang and life was a lot calmer than before, though still hectic in different ways.
One of those ways for Jaemin, was that sleep was next to none existent for him. He always acted like he was fine when it came to sleep, but in reality, he got maybe two to four hours of sleep a night.
He'd been like this for some time. Ever since Mr. Yang started to come into their dorms at night. He was so scared to sleep, wanting to be awake and alert for whatever could come.
Since he felt that he was hurt the least, he believed that the other members deserved more attention from the others and that he should deal with his problems by himself.
Even after Jaehyun talked to them about their plan of telling them when they were angry or sad or hurt every time it happened, Jaemin swore to himself that he wouldn't do that.
The other members needed it more than he did. Quietly, he got up from the floor where everyone was sleeping and made his way to one of the bedrooms that was rarely ever occupied these days.
He grabbed his backpack and took out his laptop. This became a nightly routine for him. Wake up at around two or three in the morning and stay awake for the rest of the night, no matter how tired he was.
He was able to hide how tired he was by taking naps. Since he took naps so many times, they all just thought he liked to take them to get some quick energy.
One of his favorite things to do was watch dance practices or video gamers. However, today he decided to do something different.
He hadn't had much interaction with the outside world lately, so he was extremely curious as to what the world thought about what was happening.
He opened up a site that claimed they knew what was going on and read the comments. To his surprise, many of them were positive and supporting.
He didn't remember the last time that he was truly positive about something except for when he was faking it. Jaemin smiled slightly when he read the comments.
There were a few negative comments, yet most of them were directed towards Mr. Yang.
Many of them were in anticipation of when they would be well again to continue promoting.
There were already some videos made that talked about the small signs that were shown by them to hint that something was going on.
