Alex's mind had been a whirlwind of thoughts. She needed a break from the team still - mostly in hopes to still avoid Wells. Of course, the one place she knew she could always call home was the West household in Keystone. Wally was happy to see her, after his last visit at her apartment, he smartened up and realized that he needed to savour the time he had left with his mother. She was looking a lot paler than last time she was there, and her movements much slower.

Alex only told Caitlin that she was skipping town, much less where she was going. Without that stupid tracker on her, she was able to be where she wanted without them finding here. There was no doubt that the rest of the gang knew of her disappearance by dawn. Her prediction was confirmed when Barry spammed her phone with texts.

The only answer he got was an 'I'll be back in a bit'. He stopped texting her after that.

Alexandra had a tight feeling in her chest whenever she thought about Barry Allen. Or more directly, his feelings for Linda Park. They had become close over the several months they had known each other. Even if they feelings they had at first were dislike and rage, they eventually became friends.

She was terrified that one of her only friends would leave her. Even with the massive heart Barry had, he couldn't make room for everyone. Especially someone like her. Maybe it wasn't the smartest thing to keep running from her problems. But running was what she knew best. Alex had been doing it since she was a kid, and she was still going.

To stop running was a lot harder said, than done. She wasn't brave enough to stop, to face her problems. She couldn't do that. Not even with the help of the Flash.

Alex still didn't know what she said to Barry whilst in her drunken state by the end of the week she was at the West's. During the week, she helped Wally with one of his projects for school. He was quite confused when she actually knew how to figure out the problem he was stuck on. She nearly blew her cover, but fixed it up with saying it was something she remembered reading about it somewhere not too long ago.

He wasn't going to get involved in her life, her alter ego life. There were so many times that she wanted to tell him all about her stories. From her first mission with the Flash, to the small saves they did during the evening. She wanted to tell him about all the cool powers she acquired, the people she met and how smart she actually was with all the additionally information she gained.

But she couldn't. The life she lived was dangerous, and with Wally being human, she wasn't going to put his life on the line. And Alex knew that if he knew about her and Barry, she would have to tell Barry about him. And by telling him, he would tell Joe and Joe would tell Iris. Since Iris still didn't know that her mother was alive, it would end with an argument that Alex didn't want to be blamed for.

Alexandra did make a call during the week. One that she hadn't talked to in quite a while. Dick Grayson. They didn't talk for long, she actually called at a bad time for him, he was out on patrol in Gotham, but made some time to chat. She told him about the metas they ran into during their time apart, as well asked for a small favour. He agreed with no hesitation without even hearing what she was going to ask. Dick still agreed. He was going to look into seeing if there was anything they could do to help Francine.

Three days later he called back with bad news.

Alex left the day after that.

Central City wasn't in much better shape than Keystone. In fact, the exact moment she arrived back Barry was miles away from the city and trying to stop a nuclear bomb from going off. Or more so, Caitlin's ex-fiancé merged with Dr. Stien from causing a nuclear reaction. She barely even got home before she had to leave again to go help save the day.
