Sang POV:

Two days ago, Noah offered me his help and I took it. Something about him told me I could trust him, maybe it was his soft blue eyes or his kind face but I was starting to regret it.

I hadn't seen Noah or his brother in two days and now being discharged from the hospital I had no where to go. I didn't blame them for changing their mind though, I wasn't anyone to them. Dr Roberts told me to wait outside while he made some calls after letting out several angry puffs.

Dr Roberts had easily become my favourite person in the last couple of days. He always made sure to check in even though it was clear he was a busy man. He explained that he was part of an organisation called The Academy that helped people like me and even though I don't like the sound of such a large group of people that no one knows about, I tried to remind myself that Dr Roberts had helped me more than anyone else ever had.

My injuries weren't as bad as before, the bruises had faded and I could walk without hurting my ribs too much.

A car pulled up beside the entrance and hopped out someone I didn't think I'd see again with a huge grin on his face.

"Hey sweets, you ready to go?"

I stared at Noah confused, I tried to be mad at him for disappearing but the sparkle in his eyes and the new nickname distracted me from that thought.

"Noah?" he sauntered up to me and swept me up in a delicate hug.

"You didn't think I'd break my promise now, did you?" he looked slightly upset at my nod.

"I know it'll take you some time to trust me Sang but I won't leave you"

It baffled me at how this partial stranger would be so open to helping me when even my own family hadn't seen anything in me worth saving.

"Okay"

His smile returned and he shuffled me back to the car.

After a couple minutes of driving and a pause in Noah's Karaoke, Noah glanced at me.

"You have this face. It's like a thinking face but like you're daydreaming at the same time. I hope you're thinking about a certain tall dark and handsome stranger"

I blushed at his insinuation.

"Yeah, your brother"

Noah gasped and held his heart like I'd just ripped it out.

"How dare you? Luca is the ugly one, you're better than that and luckily, so am I"

He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively and I couldn't help but burst out into laughter. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see him fist pump the air.

"Finally! Laughter! That's what I like to hear sweets. Just for that, I'll forget that you've been thinking about my ugly brother."

After my giggle subsided I couldn't help but feel more comfortable with Noah, it was like I had known him for years.

"Where are we going?"

"Your new home"

Seconds later we pulled into the car park of a large apartment building that looked slightly run down.

"Welcome to Sergeant Jasper"

It was quite overwhelming to have a home after so long on the streets, so no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help the lone tear that fell down my cheek.

"What's wrong sweet?" Noah asked as he wrapped his arms around me.

He smelt like apple and cinnamon.
