Anna’s eyes flicker, her hand still squeezing mine tightly. She looks so peaceful and… Beautiful. Except for the massive bump on her head, of course.

“Marcus, stop it, you look like a pervert.’ Anna chuckles, looking up at me.

“Well sorry! I didn’t realise looking at you made me perverted!” I smirk, and she rolls her eyes.

“Stop it, brickface.”

“Oh, what a lovely nickname you gave me. Totally romantic. In fact, I think it may even be better than ‘Dingus’.”

“Ah, well. You love me for it.” She smiles, raising an eyebrow and fiddling with her thumbs.

“Of course I do. And I mean it.”

“Marcus-?”

“No, let me say it. I love you.”

“And I love you, but why are you bringing this up now? It’s all rather sudden…”
“Because, I was thinking, what if I ever did lose you? It was only concussion this time but what about next time? Next time I could really lose you, and I can’t let you go without you fully understanding how much I love you.”

“Woah, Marcus! I’m not jumping under a bus anytime soon and I don’t plan to in the future!”

“I’m just saying-”

“Stop worrying yourself! If I had the choice, I would never leave you in the first place, you dingus.” She says, rolling her eyes again.

“Nice to hear you say ‘dingus’ so lovingly.”

“It’s a hidden talent of mine, I thought you knew about it. Oh shit, I need to find Blaire and apologise for being such a bitch these past few days!”

“She’s outside, so I’m pretty sure she heard that, but I’ll let her in anyways.” I sigh, standing up from the wooden chair and heading towards the door. Both Blaire and Spencer jump as I open the door, Spencer running to get in.

“Woah, woah! Slow down, cowboy! Anna wants to have a little chat with Blaire before you’re allowed in!” I smirk, watching Spencer slide down into a chair again.

“Time to bitch about Spencer!” Blaire smiles, fist bumping and striding past me into Anna’s room.

“I’m not going to forget this, Anna! You’re not getting any christmas presents this year!” Spencer shouts as I let the door close behind me and collapse in the chair beside him.

“She alright?” He starts, turning to look at me.

“She’s fine. It’s me who isn’t, I’m absolutely shattered. She should be more considerate when getting hit over the head!” I say, rubbing my temples to try and ease the headache thats been torturing me since it happened yesterday.

“You should get some sleep. It’s been a long couple of days,” he uttered, pulling out his phone to check the time. “20:30”

“Holy… I haven’t slept in over a-”

“Hey, you two sleepyheads, Anna wants you both in here.” Blaire speaks, poking her head around the door.

“Finally.” Spencer sniggers, easing himself out of his chair and following me into Anna’s room.

“What was that last comment of your’s, Spencer? Did you not want any of my cookies at christmas?” Anna grins, raising an eyebrow.

“No, no, no! You can’t take those cookies away from me! Thats abuse-”

“Child abuse,” Blaire cuts in, a smug look on her face.

“Hey! No need to be rude!” Spencer replies, feining sadness.

“Sorry.” She retorts, the smug look still there.

“Anyway, as I was saying, taking your wonderful Nutella cookies away would probably result death. And by that, I mean I will murder you with a butter knife.”

“Nice image there, Generator.” Anna beams, twiddling her thumbs.

“Glad to be of assistance.” Spencer replies, beaming back at her.

*******Later That Week*******

“Right. So we need to hire some more people, otherwise we won’t be able to run the place during college times,” Anna starts, holding up a handout. “I suggest we hand these out when we’re in college to spread the word, I mean, what college kid doesn’t want a job?”

“I don’t, I’d rather sit at home on the internet all day…” Spencer retorts.

“Shut it, generator.” Anna smirks, punching him in the arm.

“Ouch, Anna! I was just kidding, okay?!” He responds, the smug look from moments before wiped off his face.

“I know that, dingus. As I was saying, let’s hand these out when possible-”

“Okay.” It was Leo cutting her off this time, and deliberately. You could tell by the massive (and rather unattractive) smile on his face.

“Seriously, you want to get banned from cookies too, Leo?” Anna asks, raising an eyebrow.

“Wait a second, Anna! You never said I was banned!” Spencer suddenly gasps.

“You will be in a second if you don’t shut your face.” Anna snaps back, sitting back in her chair.

“Guys, we should start now, because we’ve still got classes today and the handouts are ready to go.” I cough, smiling over at Anna.

“Let’s go!” She perks up, jumping out of her seat and picking up a handful of flyers.

“So much carrying these past few weeks-” Spencer starts.

“I said shut your face, dingus.” Anna sighs, rolling her eyes.

“Sorry.”
