YES! Marcus took the job.
I say took the job, more like I forced him to but ah well.
He managed to get someone from his business course, Leo, to share his shift. His nickname is somehow ‘Star’ which, if you ask me, sound a bit strange for a guy. Ah well, I can still set Leo and Kenna up, ayy!
Again, I’m late for my shift on Tuesday, buts if I’m honest, I’m used to Kenna’s anger. She doesn’t scare me at all when she starts screaming and shouting. It doesn’t scare me at all when she starts screaming and shouting. It does scare Blaire and Leo though. The looks on their faces are absolutely priceless!
“Blaire, Blaire, Blaire, Spencer Latte please!” I say as I walk in, and Blaire starts to prepare the Caramel Latte.
“Blaire... I was joking...” I giggle, but stop as soon as Spencer shoots me a strange look. Ooooh! Two little love birds!
“Keep doing it, I’ll drink it! Spencer cuts in, shooting me another look, supposedly meant to make me feel guilty. No way Spencer! Your witchy powers don’t work on me!
“Oi, Spencer! Sharing shifts!!” I shout, bumping hips with him. We do a little dance and get back to work.
“Hey, hey!” Marcus says, striding in with Leo. I have to admit, Leo is pretty fit! Ah well, he’s soon to be Kenna’s, I can’t touch him. Sad times.
“Tea please!” Leo says, smiling strangely. Okay, maybe not so fit but good enough for Kenna, no offense.
“Err Anna?” Marcus says, shooting me a strange look. Damn, I get strange looks a lot, you’d think I’d have bullets holes for eyes with all the shooting.
“Wassup my main man Mr Marcus?” I laugh, but he still has look on his face. Not attractive mate.
“Can we talk outside?” he says with absolutely 0% emotion. That’s a damn good poker face!
Oh no... What does ‘talk outside’ mean. Whoops, maybe I did something wrong? I quickly hurry outside, calling Blaire over to cover for me.
“What do you want Marcus?” I ask, fiddling with the sash on my apron.
“Anna... You’re scaring Leo...”
“Whaaaaaaaat?!”
“Yep.”
“How?”
“That weird staring thingy.”
“That is NOT scary!”
“Yes it is Anna.”
“I don’t see Spencer getting scared.”
“What?”
“I WIN!”
“Oh Anna!”
“You know the rules, whoever doesn’t get a comeback loses!”
“Fine.”
