Chapter 5 - Anna

Well, at least it’s not awkward right?

Urgh, I don’t even know what to do.

It’s not that I don’t like him but...

It’s just...

“Oi Anna, wake up!” Spencer shouts, waving his hands in front of my eyes. Whoops, zoned out for a second there.

“Sorry...”

“Were you thinking about Marcus?” he says winking at me.

“Wow, you know me so well, it’s almost as if it’s-”

“Obvious.” Blaire cuts in, winking at me and pointing to the door which Marcus has just walked through.

“Hey Marcus!” I shout, waving at him frantically.

“Hey Anna, my main woman!” Signalling to the corner booth which we normally sit at. I nod at him and sit down in the seat. Spencer’s face drops and the mocha in his hands overflows, causing the customer to shoot him a dirty look. He snaps back to his senses and apologises to the customer. The look on his face - absolutely HILARIOUS!

“EARTH TO ANNA!” Marcus laughs, clapping his hands and slapping  his thighs as if he was calling a dog. Not cool mate. Stop doing that.

“Oh Marcus I wanted to ask you something!”

“Go ahead.”

“Errrr... Would you like to... Errr... You know... Meet up later? You know... Alone?”

“Woah Anna! Are you asking me out on a date!?!”

“Maybe...”

“Sure, I’d love to!” he says, a REALLY adorable smile creeping across his face. D’awww, he’s so cute!

“Meet at four?”

“At yours!”

“Oh man!” I laugh returning to Spencer who looks like he’s having trouble with the Machine.

“Generator! Did you break the machine?! Kenna’s going to kill you!” I laugh and Spencer shoots me a dirty look.

“Help me fix it or I’m blaming it on you.”

“What? No way!”

“Guys, Guys, Guys! Anna and I will fix the machine, Spencer, go get Marcus and you guys can go get the back up coffee sets from the storeroom while we fix this.” Blaire says.

“Fine, bossy boots!” Spencer sighs and gets to work.

“So Anna, what’s the gossip with you and Marcus? Are you guys FINALLY going out?” Blaire says as soon as Marcus and Spencer are out of earshot.

“Well... Let’s just say... We’re going on a date tonight!” I whisper, doing a little dance while Blaire fiddles with the wires around the back around the back of the machine.

“That is fantastic! That reminds me, you guys totally have the cutest shipping name!”

“-And what might that be?” Marcus asks, poking his head around the door.

“Annacus...” Blaire mumbles slowly.

“You’re right, that is totally the cutest!” Marcus says, smiling cutely and disappearing back around behind the door.

“Damn, you guys are married couple already!” Blaire giggles.

“Shut up!” I laugh heartily, punching her lightly on the arm.

“Okay Anna, I think there is a blockage...”

“Wait what? Spencer can clean that up.”

“What was that?” Okay now it’s Spencer poking his head around the door. Can they seriously stop doing that and actually walk into the room?

“You’re clearing the blockage!” I shout, running over toward the storeroom, pushing Spencer toward the machine on the way.

“Have fun Generator!” Marcus laughs, pulling a cute face. Man, this is getting all lovey-dovey.
