"Veronicaaaaaaaa!" calls my father from the deck. "Yes, father"  I say in the sweetest voice  I can muster considering her just woke me up. "I need you to watch the ship today, while I go for a little walk." says my father as he walks down the stairs to my cabin. "Do you mean a 'walk-walk' or the walk, or scavenger hunt ?" I ask rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "Scavenger hunt," he says finally. "Ok," I say walking over to my changing station with pink dividers. "Will you be okay watching the ship?," he asks raising his eyebrows with concerns deepening his thought lines on his forehead. "Yes,daddy" I sigh throwing my nightgown over the top to wash later. "Alright, have fun, don't get hurt, and do not leave this ship. Understand?" he says pointedly when I come out from behind the dividers. "Alright, daddy" I assure him, wrapping my arms into a hug aroung his middle with my head on his chest, him being a foot and a half taller than I.

"Bye, love you" I call and wave as he and Smee walk away. Once he walks away I quickly thrust open his sword wardrobe and grab the one he only uses for when he and I practice and quickly decide whether or not I want my long black locks up or down. I straighten back and blink in absolute shock thinking the worst. "But, don't worry me and him are only good friends." she covers up quickly. I start to say something when we hear, "HELLO! ANYONE THERE!" I hurriedly make my way over to the voice slashing the trees with my father's spare sword. "Aaahh!" screams the person to whom the voice belongs to. "Don't be alarmed." I say calmly my hair swishing in my face. "Well, I wouldn't be if you had not come slashing away at me like that." says the what seems to be a 16 year old girl with a huff. "Then how do expect anyone to find you in a forest as dense as this?" I sat motioning around. "Please, put your sword down you are making me quite nervous." she says puffing her golden bangs out of her face. "I'm sorry, er, ...." I struggle. "Wendy, Wendy Moira Angela Darling." "Veronica Hook." I say sticking out my hand for a handshake. But all she does is stare at it as if it was the most gruesome thing she has ever seen. I mean I wouldn't blame her, what can you say when you live with a bunch of men? "Sorry, I guess that's what you get when your dad is a pirate captain." I apologize. "But pirates don't exist." Wendy says. "And there's no such thing as Never Land." I say sarcastically. "Because there isn't!" she exclaims. "Then why are you here?" I demand,
