Third-person POV
It was Lucario's 8th birthday and he was playing with his friends from his soccer group and his best friend, Lucas, came up and asked if he wanted to play "I don't want to play with you right now," is what Lucario responded with and Lucas turned around with unshed tears in his eyes, Lucario and Lucas were always together and would never let anyone go so being rejected by Lucario hurt Lucas so he went up to his mum and said "M-mummy, L-Lucario doesn't want to play with me," while hiccuping, "Hey, it's fine he needs other friends than you." his mother said back, "But I should be his only friend!" Lucas whined, "Why don't you play with Harvey instead?".
Lucario Pov
It was time for cake but I wasn't eating any of it, I was focused on Lucas and Harvey laughing together and it made me jealous, "Why aren't you eating any cake?" my mummy asked me, "I want to play with Lucas!" I said back sounding annoyed, "Honey, you said you didn't want to play with him before so now it's his turn to say he doesn't want to play with you," she said back, I shoved my cake into her hands and teleported to my room, I sobbed for a bit until my mum came up and said I had to say goodbye to the people leaving.
Now it was only me and Lucas left, I looked at him in the eyes with my water-filled eyes and hugged him tightly, "I'm never gonna let you go ever!" I half sobbed and half hiccuped into his shoulder, he just hugged me back and we cuddled on the couch before we both fell asleep.

Lucario's mum's POV
"I think they're definitely mates," Lucas' mum, Janet said to me "Yeah," I agreed while we both giggled at the sight of our 8-year-old sons cuddling up asleep on the couch together, I go and put a blanket on them and Lucario's nose scrunches up and hugs Lucas tighter while mumbling "I'm never letting you go...." it was adorable, I honestly can't wait until they're older.
