Epilogue part two - The Finale

Lucas's POV

I made sure for the last two weeks that whenever my kids were alone with those demons that they were right by my side, Today I think I might let them go off on their own with those Demons. I'm still kinda paranoid but the Goddess came to me in my dreams a few nights ago and told me to trust them, so I will unfortunately.

But over the last few weeks I've seen all my kids grow close with their demons, but Archie has literally attached himself to Gizmo and I'm actually quite curious as to why, because he is normally really, really shy with new people. "Hey, uh Gizmo?" I ask as I come up behind him from where he's watching over my sleeping son, "Yeah, what's up?" He responds, "Well uhm, may I ask why Archie is so attached to you but none of my other children are as attached to their Demons as he is?"

"Hmm, well I actually don't know, maybe he sees me as someone or something he knows so he thinks I'm that person maybe?" He says awkwardly. I sighed and shrug my shoulders, "I best get back to some pack work then, look after him please." He just nods at me and goes back to staring at my child intensely.

A couple hours later a sleepy looking Ryder waddles in with Erin in tow, "What's up kiddo?" I ask, "Sleepy." He slurs and climbs up into my lap and rests his head on my shoulder. Erin snorts and looks at me, "I think you should take a break for a bit, go have a nap with your kids or something." He states rather shyly, I think he's a rather awkward person, "I guess." I say and get up while holding Ryder close to me.

I walk into my room and Archie is already in there being read a story by Trinity, I think she's gonna make a great Alpha. "Group nap time?" I ask and their head shoot and up and Trinity smiles widely, "Hell yeah!" She squeals and I just chuckle at her, I sometimes wonder if she's actually 12.

I got settled under the pile of wolf pups, excluding Archie because he can't shift yet, and might I say they were huge for their ages, Ryder looks almost 11 for his pup while Trinity looks 14. But I guess I looked like that as well. I finally got to drift off to sleep when I heard the soft snores of all my children and my protective father mode slowly faded away until I was succumbed by sleep.

In my dream I see Lucario and we talk for a bit and then I mention the Demons and Luca states at me for a bit before his face lights up and he says, "Oh right, Goddess talked to me about how our kids were gonna get guardian Demons. I was confused and then I asked her why not Guardian Angels and she said that our kids were different so they needed special protection, something about them being one big key, it was weird." He just snorted and went on to continue talking about other things in his 'new life', and boy when I say my life was about to change for the better I mean it.

I woke up to the sound of Archie crying and I shot up out of bed to see a crying Archie being cradled by Gizmo who had just stuck a bandaid on where he had fallen over and got a small scratch. I instantly awe at the sight and then ask, "Is he okay? What happened?" And Gizmo looked at me before saying, "We were playing chasy and he fell over while I was chasing him and scraped his knee, it's probably healed already because he's a werewolf but there was a fair bit of blood coming out, It just vanished off of the floor in a few seconds though," Gizmo had a mix of concern and confusion on his face and I probably had the same expression. "Can you comfort him until he stops crying but beware when he cries he cries for a long time." The look of terror on Gizmo's face was hilarious and I was laughing my ass of as I walked out of the room.

Gizmo came out around an hour later and he looked tired as hell, "He wouldn't stop crying until I laid down in his bed with him until he fell asleep, kinda wish I fell asleep with him though." Gizmo said tiredly and he sighed loudly. "Go sleep in the guest room next to Archie's, you'll get some rest but also know when he's in trouble or whatever." I suggested and he thanked me before quickly running up the stairs and probably flopping over on the guest bed, I feel like this is gonna be a long few weeks, maybe months.
