Chapter 7

Lucario's POV

I opened my eyes and a bright light blasted my eyes and I immediately shut them and groaned, "YOU'RE AWAKE!" I heard someone scream, I now know that it was Lucas who screamed that. I mumbled something while nurses and doctors ran into the room. They were making sure I was stable enough to keep awake and I was lucky enough to be able to stay awake! Once they all left two police officers came into my room and started asking questions, "How did this happen?" One of them asked me, I thought about it for a while before saying, "I went into the bathroom I think and this boy that was hanging around my boyfriend earlier came in after me and he threatened me and then pulled out a knife saying "If I can't have him then no one can.". They then asked me, "Do you know what he looks like?" I nodded my head. "He looks to be about 5'4 maybe and he has dark/medium brown hair with blue eyes, also he's kinda tan but not really." They nodded their heads "Also he was wearing a white beanie with a light grey and darker grey checkered shirt." They asked me a few more questions before thanking me for my time and leaving. Lucas walked in and laid down next to me and we both fell asleep while cuddling.

I shot up sweating, another bad dream, it was the same dream repeating over and over again. It was that Jake kid kidnapping Lucas and hypnotizing him into loving him and only him, I found him but he wouldn't listen to me and then he hit me and for some reason, it actually hurt and then Jake came up behind Lucas and then shot him. He fell to the ground, his lifeless body just lying there, then he aimed the gun at my head and pulled the trigger and that's when I woke up. I wrapped my arms around Lucas and nuzzled into the crook of his neck and falling asleep for good this time.

I woke up and then a croaky but hot voice I recognized as Lucas's said "Morning baby." For some reason that made me feel fuzzy and I said "G'morning," and he chuckled and got out of the hospital bed we both fell asleep on. "The doctors said you can leave sometime today since your almost fully healed!" he grinned like a kid and then I said, "Do I get to meet the pack?" And he just nodded his heading like an excited little kid it was honestly adorable.

When we left the hospital Lucas clung onto me and didn't let go, he growled at basically anyone and everything that even batted an eyelash at me. I honestly thought I would be the one to do that but I guess not!

We arrived at the Packhouse and almost everyone I saw there I knew from when I used to live here and they all looked at me in shock, one of the people in the room who I recognized to be one of my childhood friends choked out, "L-Lucario?" and then all hell broke loose and every ran towards me as they tried to hug me and ask questions, I saw there was one small little girl, she looked about four maybe five years old in the corner of the room, I saw she was crying and I teleported over to her and she looked up at me, she looked really scared so I picked her up and cradled her in my arms and making circles on her back with my thumbs while saying "Shh" and "It's okay,". After a while, she stopped crying and it was just a few hiccups every minute. She clung onto my shirt and I could hear her soft snores.

My head shot up and stared daggers at the crowd "Care to tell me why she was crying?" I said in a stern and controlling voice, I saw some people flinch at my voice and they all looked at each other trying to avoid my gaze, "I SAID!" I yelled at them while placing my hands over the little girl's ears, "Why. The. Hell. Was. She. CRYING!" They all flinched when I yelled at them and then a boy around thirteen or fourteen said: "She said she wanted to train and be a guard but everyone knows girls aren't allowed to be guards but she kept on insisting so I slapped her."

That boy had no regret in his eyes and that made me rage, even more, I handed the girl to Lucas and stomped towards the boy, he didn't look feared and just stared up and me, I stared down and it and basically yelled "Give me one good reason I shouldn't rip your throat out right here right now!" he flinched at my voice and then I struck him across his face, he looked shocked and most of the crowd did as well, "If she wants to be a guard then she can be one and that goes for any other girls!" I then proceed to scold him for his actions.

It was now about 8 pm and I went up to check on the little girl who I found out was called Emerald, she was a delta rank but she had an older brother who would already take that role. She would probably be like an Omega but treated with a lot more respect. I walked into her room and she was sitting up in her bed, "What are you doing up at this time of night?" I asked her, "Bad dream." She whispered. I looked around and then I saw a stuffed bear and grabbed that, I then walked over to her and gave it to her, "He will protect you from any bad dreams and monsters!" I said enthusiastically and she giggled before laying down again, I was about to walk out but before I could I heard her mumble to me "Goodnight big bro.."

I chuckled at her before saying, "Goodnight Princess." And then walking out of her room.
