Mishti made her way into Maheshwari House, gasping for breath as she looked up & saw everyone was staring at her. Both the Maheshwari family & the Rajvansh family were all sat there, looking troubled.

"Mishti!" Rajshri rushed over to her, seeing her dishelleved state. "What happened!?"
"Badi Maa" she said breathlessly, looking around the two families.
"Muh Bholi!" Jasmeet began shreiking "Where did you go!? In case you forgot today was your gordhana!"
"Jasmeet" Varsha tried to stop her, shaking her head at her when Jasmeet met her gaze but Jasmeet sighed. "Varsha Bhabhi, someone has to say something to her!"
"Jasmeet!" Vishamber bellowed; causing Jasmeet's eyes to widen before she looked down, for shame.
"Sorry Taya Ji" She mumbled
"Badi Maa" Rajshri addressed her mother again, ignoring Jasmeet. "Where's Abeer?"
"Mishti-" she began but Nidhi got up at once interrupting them.
"Where do you think he is!?" Nidhi exclaimed & Kaushal got up to take her arm.
"Mhaari vaali" He began & Nidhi turned to him, tearing up.
"No, husband. Jasmeet Ji is right. You saw the state of Abeer, didn't you?" she cried & Kaushal worriedly met his father's gaze. Yashpal closed his eyes, gesturing to Kaushal, who let go of his wife's arm, sighing.

"Poor Abeer has been waiting for you for hours. But where have you been? You didn't even think to tell any one of us!" She exclaimed, pointing around the room to both of the families. Everyone was there. The only one who wasn't, was Mehul. & Mishti knew exactly where he was.
"Maa! Please!" Ketki took her mum's arm but she shrugged Ketki off. "Let her explain, at least"
"You stay quiet!" She told her daughter & turned to Mishti. "Tell us Mishti. What was so important that you left your gordhana? Tell us all!"
"I can't believe this!" Kunal exclaimed, causing everyone to turn to him as he stepped forward. "What is your problem?" He began to berate her & Kuhu stepped forward, sighing.
"Kunal-" Kuhu tried to stop him but he ignored her..
"Is this just something you enjoy doing or something!?" He exclaimed. "First you humiliate me, then you humiliate my Bhai!?"
"Enough!" Mishti exclaimed, stunning everyone into silence before turning to her father.

"Bade Papa, where's Abeer? I need to talk to him" She said desperately.
"I don't know, Mishti beta" he sighed, taking his glasses off. "He just left a while ago"
"I need to go & find him."
"Mishti-" Rajshri began sternly, taking her daughter's arm to stop her from doing another disappearing act.
"No, Badi Maa. I need to speak to him. I need to see him" she said & rushed off before Rajshri could say another word. She turned to see Vishamber gesturing her to leave it. So she sighed; frustrated.

Mishti began to call Abeer's phone as she made her way to the first place she could think of. The lakeside. But he wasn't there. She sighed, looking around her before she called someone.
"DiDi, is Abeer at the NGO?"
"No, Mishti," She said in confusion. "Why would Bhaiyya be here?"
"DiDi, if you hear anything from him, can you call me, please!?" She pleaded desperately.
"Of course, Mishti. Is everything okay?"
"No DiDi." She cried. "I really need to get a hold of him"
"Okay. I'll tell you if he calls. Okay?" She assured her
"Thank you DiDi!" She sighed h ended the call.

Mishti paused & put her hand to her head, thinking where she could possibly find him. He wasn't there. He wasn't at the NGO. Where could he be?

Her phone rang, snapping her out of her thoughts as she saw the caller ID, for a split second thinking it was Abeer returning her call. Her heart sank when it saw it was only Ketki.

"Yeah, Ketu? Did Abeer come back?"
"No Bhabhi" she said quietly. "I just thought I'd ask if you found him."
"No. Not yet. I-" she paused, thinking for a moment but sighing. "Ketu, let me call you back. I think I know where he is"
"Okay Bhabhi. Keep me informed"
"I will" She said & Mishti ended the call before rushing off.

Abeer slid down the wall & closed his eyes, sighing deeply. He glanced over to the painting behind the white net curtain in front of him & recalled back to when he had brought Mishti over to the house for the first time. When they discussed how their first night would go down. He rested his head in his hands. Rage filling him more than the pain that he felt when he left the Maheshwari house a little while ago. It was the pain of being stood up by the one person he loved most, that first filled him. But then that pain turned into rage at the lies that he inevitably felt surrounded her disappearance. He had tried questioning her before. But she gave him her version of the truth that he knew he didn't buy, but he had no strength in him to challenge it. He didn't want to lose her. But when he recalled back to waiting for her in Maheshwari House. Minutes turned to hours. No sign of her. & no one knowing where she'd gone or why she'd gone. Rage filled him before he just felt defeated.
