Chapter Eight

Scott was left alone in the forest, hiding behind a tree a fair distance from the scene they had found the body.

There was the sound of branches crunching behind him. Scott gulped, wondering why he had gone with Stiles his best friend - to the forest so late at night.

Scott paled as he heard a growl. His throat tightened and he coughed. Wheezing Scott reached for his inhaler, "Of all the times to have an asthma attack..."

Scott heard footsteps growing closer and the growls got louder. He took off into a run, his inhaler in hand.

He glanced over his shoulder, spotting a black figure- a wolf he thought, with red eyes chasing after him.

Scott tripped over a tree root and rolled down a hill, dropping his inhaler. He landed with a thud. Scott groaned as he felt around for his inhaler, wheezing slightly.

He couldn't find it, Scott was simply grasping at mud and leaves. The sound of growling got louder behind Scott.

Scott was suddenly grabbed by the leg, he screamed and scrabbled at the dirt in an effort to get away.

The Wolf snarled and his jaws latched onto Scott's side. He felt a sharp pain as the wolf's jaws snapped shut on his side, his razor sharp fangs piercing his skin and drawing blood.

Scott tried to kick at the Wolf, forcing it to let go. He scrambled away, clutching his side and limping off in the other direction, trying to get as far away as possible.

The wolf ran off, causing Scott to almost fall over in disbelief. He knew he had to go home.

Scott left his inhaler, "No way am I going back there..." He mumbled, leaving the forest.

The rain was pouring, Scott could barely see. He squinted as something came into his vision, something getting closer by the second.

He stumbled backwards as he realised it was a car, it's horn was honking loudly. It swerved to avoid him and drove off.

Scott groaned and kept pressure on his injure. It hurt more than anything he had ever felt before.

He slowly walked home in the rain, along the road. The rain trickling down his face...
